The TOWIE star is in hospital after being diagnosed with viral meningitis and encephalitis that has left him feeling ‘battered’ and fighting a ‘mental health battle’
Jordan Brook’s bleak statement in full:
- Reality TV star Jordan Brook is battling both viral meningitis and encephalitis that is causing swelling on his brain. He has been in hospital for a fortnight and has taken to Instagram with an update on how he’s doing.
- He told fans today: “Hospital update. Sadly after turning a bit of a corner on Friday I feel I have reached a plateau in hospital. Canulas are failing to stick I have had over 30 fitted.
- “My body feels battered and bruised and is struggling to accept my anti viral medication. I am tired, Exhausted and feel like I have gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson.
- “Still suffering with pressure on the frontal lobes of my brain. Really fighting a mental battle at the moment. Thank you to everyone for you continued support I could really do with some positivity. I will not let this win!”
- This comes only a few days after he revealed that he was “weak and unable to walk” in an Instagram update where he posed from a wheelchair for a photo with his pregnant partner Sophie Kasaei. He said: “Lord give me strength. Get me home to my boy.
- “5 mins of fresh air off the ward this morning with my everything. Still not got the strength to walk and am super weal all over my entire body. Thank you for holding me up all the way through this @sophiekasaei_. Still a long way to go in this battle but we are getting there.”
- Jordan is known for appearing in The Only Way Is Essex in 2017, where he dated co-star Chloe Brockett, and again since 2022. He later begun dating Sophie and she joined him on the show.
- He was admitted to hospital with a swelling on the brain this year.
