Demi Moore debuted a new shoulder-length hairstyle on the Cannes Film Festival 2026 red carpet.

The actress, 63, traded her signature hip-length hair for a cropped, curled look at the “La Bola Negra” premiere.

For the event, she chose a deep cobalt blue gown by Self-Portrait, with a gathered exaggerated peplum.

The shorter ‘do was all the better to show off her sculptural diamond Swarovski necklace that added bling to the strapless neckline.

Her sparkler included more than 156 carats of lab-grown diamonds and retails for a whopping $270,000. She added a coordinating ring and earrings from the same collection.

Moore has been on quite a whirlwind fashion tour at the extravagant film event, showing off not only custom couture looks, but also showcasing truly jaw-dropping jewelry from Chopard, Boucheron and more.

The new hair chop is likely a wig, as Moore has been quite vocal about her desire to never actually go short.

Speaking to People in January, she shared, “I’m protective of the length, so it’s about health over inches,” adding, “at the end of the day I love taking it down seeing my hair fall past my waist. It’s like coming home.”

She did, however, try out one of her shortest look in recent years — albeit temporarily — earlier this year. In March, she sat front row at the Gucci show with a chin-length wet style.
