Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith made their first public appearance together in four months on Tuesday.
The couple had a family dinner at celeb hotspot Nobu Malibu, joined by their son, Jaden Smith, as well as Will’s son Trey from his first marriage to Sheree Zampino.
Will’s mom, Caroline Bright, was also in attendance for the outing.
The actress wore a long black jacket paired with Louis Vuitton jeans and a black top. She completed the look with a black head wrap and flip flops.
Will went for a more casual look, wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-shirt and Nike sneakers. He also carried a red bomber jacket.
Will, 57, and Pinkett Smith, 54, were last pictured together in February when they dined at Nobu Malibu with Jaden and their daughter, Willow Smith.
Prior to that, the couple — who have been married since 1997 — put on a united front in January when they attended the Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 Paris Fashion Week in support of Jaden.
The 27-year-old made his debut with Christian Louboutin as the brand’s first men’s creative director.
Will and Pinkett Smith made headlines back in 2020 when singer August Alsina claimed he and Pinkett Smith had an affair, to which the “Men in Black” star gave his “blessing” to.
At the time, the couple’s rep called the claims “absolutely untrue,” but Pinkett Smith later admitted to having an “entanglement” with Alsina. The “I Am Legend” star and the producer further claimed they were separated during the time in which she was seeing the musician.
About a year later, Will revealed he and the “Madagascar” star had an open marriage because they believed their union shouldn’t “feel like a prison.”
However, in 2023, the former “Red Table Talk” host revealed her and Will had been secretly separated for seven years.
“We’re still figuring it out,” the “Girls Trip” star told People at the time. “We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”
She shared that they “live separately,” but noted that they continue to support each other.
“I’m going to be by his side,” she said of their unconventional dynamic, “but also allow him to have to figure this out for himself.”
Around that time, she also revealed that Will sticking up for her against Chris Rock during the Oscars 2022 saved their marriage.
“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him,” she told the Daily Mail.
However, in January 2024, a source close to the couple told People that the pair were still living in separate homes.
“Call it what you want. They are living their own lives but haven’t completely severed ties,” the insider claimed.
Though another insider insisted that the two “are still together” and “have had separate homes for years.”
