Three more men have been jailed for their parts in the violence at a demonstration over the murder of student Henry Nowak – bringing the total number of arrests so far to 10

Three more men have been jailed for treating a protest in Southampton over the murder of student Henry Nowak like a “blood-sport”.

Darren Medhurst, 36, was jailed for three years and three months at Southampton Crown Court along with Callum Darch, 27, and Harley Haynes, 23, who were both imprisoned for two years and six months, all three for the offence of violent disorder.

The release of police bodycam footage sparked outrage after it showed 18-year-old Henry being restrained in handcuffs shortly before he lost consciousness and died.

His killer, Vikram Digwa, 23, who lived just streets away with his family, was later sentenced to life imprisonment and ordered to serve a minimum of 21 years.
