The “Thank U, Next” hitmaker, 33, was originally announced in October as a cast member in Ryan Murphy’s horror franchise, but couldn’t swing the filming schedule after production dates were changed.

The pop star hasn’t filmed anything for the forthcoming installment, sources told Deadline.

Grande was expected to join Murphy’s star-studded cast, which includes several familiar faces from previous seasons like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, John Waters, Frances Conroy and Leslie Grossman.

Additionally, John Carroll Lynch, Mena Suvari and Matt Fraser are said to be returning as characters.

The cast is rounded out by newcomer Alex Consani and “Not Suitable for Work” star Avantika.

It remains unclear what Grande’s role in the project was going to be — which is typically the case with the Murphy’s productions, as details are normally kept under tight wraps.

When asked what she might be bringing to the new season in her franchise debut, the “Wicked” star told Variety in November: “I know a little tiny bit [about the role] but what I know I can’t say,”

“I’ll probably have a very tiny thing to do in it, but I’ll be grateful to be a part of it because I love everyone involved.”

Grande previously starred in another of Murphy’s hit series, “Scream Queens,” in 2015, where she worked alongside Roberts, Lourd, Abigail Breslin, Lea Michele and Keke Palmer.

The Academy Award-nominated actress is booked and busy these days with her tour — a few dates of which she recently had to reschedule due to production issues.

Originally scheduled for July 22 and July 24, the two shows were moved to July 23 and July 26, respectively.

At the time, Grande expressed in a social media statement that she was “so sorry” the dates were rescheduled, but noted that it needed to be done so the shows can be “delivered safely and as intended.”

The tour is in support of the Grammy winner’s seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” which was released in 2024.
