The incident, which took place on Market Street in the West Yorkshire city, saw a Nissan Qashqai move off from traffic lights and mount a kerb, hitting three pedestrians.
A male pedestrian has died while two others, including a child, were injured after a car mounted a kerb and struck pedestrians in Bradford.
The incident happened on Market Street in Bradford city centre on Sunday afternoon, with emergency services called to the scene at around 3.22pm.
A blue Nissan Qashqai reportedly moved off from traffic lights before mounting the kerb and striking a 31-year-old man, who suffered serious head injuries.
The car also struck a 50-year-old man who was using a wheelchair in the pedestrianised area. Both victims were treated by emergency services, but the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 31-year-old remains in hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. A 13-year-old boy also suffered minor injuries in the incident.
A 30-year-old Bradford man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and other traffic offences. He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
Detective Sergeant Nina Roper, of West Yorkshire Police, said: “Multiple enquiries remain ongoing into this very serious incident which has sadly resulted in a man losing his life, and another man suffering serious injuries.
“We are investigating the exact circumstances of the collision, including why the Nissan mounted the kerb, and would like to speak to anyone who saw or has footage of what happened or of the Nissan beforehand.
