They were 78 and 70, respectively.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Jake Reiner returned to his podcast about the LA Dodgers five months after his parents Rob and Michele were murdered. <span class=\"credit\">YouTube\/The Incline: Dodgers Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>On Tuesday\u2019s episode of the podcast, Jake spoke about how he bonded with his late dad over their love for baseball. <span class=\"credit\">YouTube\/The Incline: Dodgers Podcast<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The couple\u2019s youngest son, Nick, 32, was arrested and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/15\/us-news\/rob-reiners-son-nick-in-custody-after-horrifying-murder-of-princess-bride-director-and-wife\/\">charged with two counts of first-degree murder<\/a>. He is being\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/23\/celebrity-news\/the-la-jail-where-nick-reiner-is-being-held-has-a-star-studded-history\/\">held at LA\u2019s Twin Towers Correctional Facility<\/a>\u00a0without bail while awaiting trial.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of Tuesday\u2019s episode, titled \u201cJake Reiner Returns!,\u201d the 35-year-old said he was \u201chonored\u201d to be back on the podcast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a long time coming,\u201d Jake said. \u201cI just wanna thank everybody that I\u2019ve heard from near and far since everything\u2019s happened. Just know I\u2019ve seen all the love and support out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Jake (pictured above with Rob and Michele in an old photo) said he\u2019ll cherish his and Rob\u2019s baseball connection \u201cfor the rest of my life.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Jake Reiner\/Substack<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Jake (seen above with Rob and Michele) also told listeners to read his Substack essay to read his words about his parents. <span class=\"credit\">michelereiner\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Jake told co-host Kevin Klein he didn\u2019t want to return to the podcast until he <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/24\/celebrity-news\/rob-reiners-son-jake-its-impossible-to-process-brother-nick-at-center-of-murders\/\">wrote his heartbreaking essay <\/a>about his parents that he published on Substack last month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith everything going on, I felt I wanted to put my words out there and let people into the kind of people they were at home,\u201d Jake explained. \u201cAnd for those that really knew and loved them, I felt it important to share that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jake also said he wrote the essay to connect with other people dealing with grief. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>\u201cWith everything going on, I felt I wanted to put my words out there and let people into the kind of people they were at home,\u201d said Jake, who is pictured above with his parents, brother Nick and sister Romy. <span class=\"credit\">michelereiner\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Jake took a five-month break from his podcast after his parents were murdered (The Reiner family is seen above). <span class=\"credit\">michelereiner\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Before the conversation shifted to baseball, Jake implored listeners to visit his Instagram and Substack to read his words about his parents.<\/p>\n<p>Jake and Rob previously spoke about their mutual love for baseball when they attended a Dodgers game in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe would go to at least 25 or 40 games a year,\u201d Rob <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/carl-reiner-inspired-rob-reiner-and-son-jake-bond-over-baseball-exclusive-7553361\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told People<\/a> at the time, while Jake said the pair \u201ctalk daily about the Dodgers.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Nick was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in December (Rob and Jake are pictured above at an LA Dodgers game). <span class=\"credit\">Jake Reiner\/Substack<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Rob and Michele (seen above at the Human Rights Campaign\u2019s 2025 LA Dinner) were found dead in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on December 14, 2025. <span class=\"credit\">AFP via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In his <a href=\"https:\/\/jakereiner.substack.com\/p\/mom-and-dad\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 24 Substack essay<\/a>, Jake said he was \u201cdevastated\u201d over losing both his parents \u201cin the most violent way imaginable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He revealed he was at a celebration of life for a friend who passed away in New York City when his sister Romy, 28, called him and told him their parents were dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s too devastating to comprehend,\u201d he wrote. \u201cI still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, it\u2019s not a dream.
