I accept there may have been a flashpoint but there is no doubt this is a serious breach.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Prosecutor Georgina Miller told the court that Jeffrey, from Bilborough, had previously been in a relationship with the woman, reports <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nottinghampost.com\/news\/nottingham-news\/angry-facebook-status-change-lands-10938881\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Nottinghamshire Live<\/a>. <!-- -->She explained that following the breakdown of that relationship, the defendant received a two-year jail term, suspended for two years, in February 2025 for assault occasioning actual bodily harm against her.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The prosecutor added that the sentencing judge on that occasion also imposed a five-year restraining order prohibiting him from contacting her either directly or indirectly. Miss Miller said: &#8220;On November, 29, 2025, the defendant updated his <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/facebook\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Facebook<\/a> status saying &#8216;I have been patient, I have been nice, not anymore, everyone is going to get crushed&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;The victim was made aware of this and asked a friend to see what it was all about. That friend firstly received a voice note from the defendant in which he accused his ex-partner of &#8216;playing God&#8217; and saying &#8216;her new fella is walking down the street saying he is going to smack them (the defendant&#8217;s children)&#8217; and again saying &#8216;everyone involved is going to get crushed&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8220;He then sent the friend a message saying he was going to &#8216;chop her and him&#8217; saying the new man was &#8216;trying to play dad&#8217; and saying he was going to &#8216;smack his head in&#8217;.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Jeffrey pleaded guilty to breaching both the suspended sentence and the restraining order, and had accumulated 19 previous convictions for 31 offences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Digby Johnson, speaking in mitigation, said his client, who joined the sentencing hearing via video-link from <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/prisons\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">HMP Nottingham<\/a>, had previously been residing in Skegness but had returned to Nottingham after failing to secure accommodation on the Lincolnshire coast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He revealed that the defendant had played a crucial role in saving his brother-in-law&#8217;s life during a serious asthma attack, ensuring he was safely transported to hospital for urgent treatment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Mr Johnson said: &#8220;He has been promised there is somewhere to live when he comes out of prison with a friend in Long Eaton.
