{"id":1277,"date":"2026-05-07T20:23:47","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T20:23:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/stanley-tucci-reflects-on-21-year-age-gap-with-wife-felicity-blunt\/"},"modified":"2026-05-07T20:23:47","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T20:23:47","slug":"stanley-tucci-reflects-on-21-year-age-gap-with-wife-felicity-blunt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/stanley-tucci-reflects-on-21-year-age-gap-with-wife-felicity-blunt\/","title":{"rendered":"Stanley Tucci reflects on 21-year age gap with wife Felicity Blunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/127204227.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Stanley Tucci, 65, couldn\u2019t help but gush over his wife, Felicity Blunt, 45, as he reflected on <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/07\/13\/stanley-tucci-tried-to-break-up-with-emily-blunts-sister-over-21-year-age-gap-i-was-afraid\/\">their 21-year age gap<\/a> marriage. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wasn\u2019t sure that I would ever remarry,\u201d  said Tucci \u2014 who was previously married to social worker Kathryn Spath from 1995 until she died from cancer in 2009 \u2014 on <a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/episode\/4NgnNnTNEXslDumwsjUQY4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jenna Bush Hager\u2019s \u201cOpen Book\u201d podcast<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never thought I would have children again. And when I met her, it just sort of made sense, even though there is this age gap of 21 years. And obviously, I knew her family, or I knew her sister [Emily Blunt] was one of my best friends. But I think she changed my life in the sense that she gave me a sense of security. She gave my children a sense of security. And she\u2019s fun. I mean, her mind is incredible. Her capacity to take in information, not just from a book, but from the world and process it, and turn it into something else is just extraordinary. She\u2019s pretty cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cLovely Bones\u201d actor was introduced to Felicity through his \u201cDevil Wears Prada\u201d co-star Emily Blunt  at the film\u2019s 2006 premiere. <\/p>\n<p>After Tucci\u2019s wife passed, he eventually ran into Felicity once again at Emily\u2019s 2010 wedding to John Krasinski which was held at George Clooney\u2019s house in Lake Como, Italy. They began dating shortly after.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>They began dating years later after reconnecting at Emily\u2019s wedding to John Krasinski in 2010. (Pictured above is Tucci hugging Felicity at the Nanette Lepore Fall 2012 fashion show).  <span class=\"credit\">Stephen Lovekin<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The couple (pictured above at the \u201cFinding Harmony: A King\u2019s Vision\u201d Windsor Castle premiere in January) tied the knot in 2012 and went on to welcome two children together.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In 2023, Tucci revealed that he once attempted to break up with Felicity out of fear that he would \u201cfeel old for the rest of my life\u201d because of their age gap. <\/p>\n<p>But, luckily for the pair, the breakup didn\u2019t stick and they went on to tie the knot in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The couple shares two children together: <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2015\/01\/29\/stanley-tucci-and-wife-welcome-baby-boy\/\">son Matteo<\/a>, whom they welcomed in 2015, and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2018\/06\/12\/stanley-tucci-and-felicity-blunt-welcome-daughter-emilia-giovanna\/\">daughter Emilia<\/a>, who was born in 2018.
