A <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/courts\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"_self\">court <\/a>heard Mr Glynn passed away after being punched, kicked, strangled and having his head stamped on by the evil thug.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Harrowing footage from a hidden camera inside the flat showed Field continuing as though nothing had happened &#8211; while Mr Glynn&#8217;s feet can be seen as he lay motionless on the floor. The pensioner was also able to tell detectives how he&#8217;d been blackmailed into handing over thousands of pounds to his supposed friend.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Field went on trial accused of murder and was found guilty by a jury of seven men and five women after less than four hours of deliberation on Wednesday May 6. When he didn&#8217;t get the confession he wanted, he subjected Mr Glynn to the &#8220;savage and senseless&#8221; assault, which left him suffering bleeds to his brain, broken bones in his neck severe bruising and swelling to his face and body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Sadly, Mr Glynn never recovered from the serious injuries he sustained in the attack and three months later on <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/sport\/boxing\/\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">Boxing<\/a> Day he died.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Speaking after the verdict, Detective Sergeant Megan Scotney, of the East Midlands Special Operations Unit, said: &#8220;Samuel Field described Mr Glynn as his best friend of almost two decades. Nothing can bring Mr Glynn back, but I very much hope this guilty verdict offers his loved ones some comfort.
