Sorry. You can eat meat! Go for it! You can love animals. The body functions better when we eat meat. If we cut it out, we\u2019d need to take many supplements &amp; that\u2019s not feasible for most. In February, Eilish made remarks during her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/05\/entertainment\/billie-eilishs-brother-finneas-slams-outrage-over-singers-anti-ice-grammys-2026-speech\/\">2026 Grammys acceptance speech<\/a>\u00a0that got a rise out of some viewers.<\/p>\n<p>Eilish was mocked as a hypocrite for declaring\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/03\/opinion\/billie-eilish-was-just-doing-her-job-as-a-pop-star-showing-ignorance-on-us-history\/\">\u201cno one is illegal on stolen land\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and \u201cf\u2014 ICE\u201d while owning a massive Hollywood property.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo one is illegal on stolen land,\u201d the 24-year-old \u201cWildflower\u201d singer said while wearing an \u201cICE OUT\u201d pin. \u201cI feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter, and the people matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Billie Eilish and her brother, Finneas O\u2019Connell, onstage at the 2026 Grammy Awards, February 1, 2026.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAnd f\u2014 ICE, that\u2019s all I\u2019m gonna say, sorry,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, several critics, including federal lawmakers, called out the pop singer and suggested that she donate her\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/02\/02\/us-news\/billie-eilish-under-fire-to-fork-over-mansion\/\">million-dollar Los Angeles property<\/a>\u00a0back to Native Americans to return \u201cstolen land.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to\u00a0Fox News Digital\u00a0at the time, Department of Homeland Security spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin dismissed Eilish and other celebrities\u2019 anti-ICE comments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile Hollywood celebrities embarrassed themselves trying to drum up hatred of ICE officers from the Grammys, DHS law enforcement was hard at work arresting sex offenders, child abusers, and criminals convicted of assault in Minnesota,\u201d McLaughlin said.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Eilish received the 2026 MLK Jr. Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award and claimed people were being \u201ckidnapped\u201d and \u201cassaulted and murdered\u201d during ICE raids.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Billie Eilish on the red carpet at the 2026 Grammy Awards, February 1, 2026. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cTo be honest, I really don\u2019t feel deserving,\u201d Eilish said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s very strange to be celebrated for working towards environmental justice at a time where it feels less achievable than ever, given the state of our country and the world right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut for fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people\u2019s access to food and healthcare becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans,\u201d her speech continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very clear that protecting our planet and our communities is not a priority for this administration. And it\u2019s really hard to celebrate that when we no longer feel safe in our own homes or in our streets,\u201d Eilish added.<\/p>\n<p>McLaughlin later condemned Billie Eilish in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/ice-billie-eilish-posts-minnesota-shooting-reaction-1236152588\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement given to Billboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClearly, Billie Eilish has not seen the newly released footage, which corroborates what DHS has stated all along \u2014 that this individual was impeding law enforcement and weaponized her vehicle in an attempt to kill or cause bodily harm to federal law enforcement,\u201d McLaughlin said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cICE does not separate families,\u201d she added. \u201cParents are asked if they want to be removed with their children, or ICE will place the children with a safe person the parent designates.
