{"id":1469,"date":"2026-05-09T11:59:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T11:59:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/christine-taylor-reveals-why-husband-ben-stiller-skipped-the-knicks-for-the-met-gala\/"},"modified":"2026-05-09T11:59:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-09T11:59:58","slug":"christine-taylor-reveals-why-husband-ben-stiller-skipped-the-knicks-for-the-met-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/christine-taylor-reveals-why-husband-ben-stiller-skipped-the-knicks-for-the-met-gala\/","title":{"rendered":"Christine Taylor reveals why husband Ben Stiller skipped the Knicks for the Met Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/127270595.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Christine Taylor said her husband, Ben Stiller, was being a considerate and polite pal when he ditched the Knicks playoff game on Monday night for the Met Gala.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt really was for these dear friends who invited us.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Christine Taylor told Page Six why her husband, Ben Stiller, missed the Knicks game for the Met Gala. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The actress explained that they had made the commitment to attend the Met Gala back in January. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>However, that\u2019s not to say the Knicks weren\u2019t on the <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/entertainment\/ben-stiller-diehard-new-york-knicks-fan-roasted-for-skipping-playoff-game-for-met-gala-2026\/\">couple\u2019s minds at the swanky shindig.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere\u2019s what was great,\u201d Taylor explained. \u201cHe could wear his Knicks orange, I happened to be wearing blue and [<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/05\/sports\/the-fix-mike-brown-knows-knicks-need-to-make-against-76ers\/\">The Knicks trounced the 76ers<\/a>, 137-98], so once we learned what the score was, we could relax and enjoy the night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stiller also addressed the \u201cSophie\u2019s Choice\u201d decision on the red carpet.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Stiller still showed his support by donning an orange tie. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Taylor shared that once inside, she and Stiller chatted with Stevie Nicks (seen at the Met Gala above). <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cRight now, I wish I was in Madison Square Garden,\u201d Stiller admitted to USA Today. \u201cBut it\u2019s beautiful to be here, too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you can\u2019t be at Madison Square Garden watching the Knicks \u2026 this is a great second choice,\u201d Stiller added. \u201cThis is an incredible event supporting the Costume Institute and the arts in New York.
