An eyewitness has described the moment innocent bystanders rushed to stop the Golders Green attacker.<\/p>\n

A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after two men – one in his 70s and one in his 30s – were stabbed in the busy area of North London this morning.<\/p>\n

A terrorist incident has been declared, Head of Counter Terrorism Policing Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor said.<\/p>\n

Witnesses described seeing a man along Golders Green Road armed with a knife, Jewish security group Shomrim said on social media.<\/p>\n

The disturbing attack has prompted calls for action from the chief rabbi and the Israeli foreign ministry, following a series of incidents targeting Jewish sites in London.<\/p>\n
