{"id":1619,"date":"2026-05-11T08:33:02","date_gmt":"2026-05-11T08:33:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/bonnie-tyler-had-to-be-resuscitated-after-going-into-cardiac-arrest-reports\/"},"modified":"2026-05-11T08:33:02","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T08:33:02","slug":"bonnie-tyler-had-to-be-resuscitated-after-going-into-cardiac-arrest-reports","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/bonnie-tyler-had-to-be-resuscitated-after-going-into-cardiac-arrest-reports\/","title":{"rendered":"Bonnie Tyler had to be resuscitated after going into cardiac arrest: reports"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/Tyler-1.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Bonnie Tyler had to be resuscitated after going into cardiac arrest when doctors tried to <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/07\/celebrity-news\/bonnie-tyler-74-reportedly-in-induced-coma-after-being-rushed-to-hospital\/\">bring her out of her induced coma<\/a>, according to a report.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTotal Eclipse of the Heart\u201d crooner, 74, suffered a cardiac arrest Friday and remains in intensive care at an Algarve, Portugal, hospital, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cmjornal.pt\/vidas\/detalhe\/bonnie-tyler-sofre-paragem-cardiorrespiratoria\">according to respected local outlet Correio da Manh\u00e3<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Welsh star is also battling an infection which doctors are trying to control with high doses of antibiotics, according to the outlet.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Bonnie Tyler had to be resuscitated after going into cardiac arrest, according to reports in Portuguese media.  <span class=\"credit\">Michael Ochs Archives<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But, her longtime pal Liberto Mealha told Correio da Manh\u00e3 \u201cthe doctors are positive\u201d regarding her recovery.<\/p>\n<p>Tyler <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/06\/celebrity-news\/total-eclipse-of-the-heart-singer-bonnie-tyler-rushed-to-hospital-for-emergency-surgery\/\">underwent emergency surgery<\/a> on her appendix which reportedly ruptured, and she was put into an induced coma to \u201caid her recovery,\u201d a statement from her manager last week said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The singer felt unwell during a gig in London, England, and went to the doctors \u2013 but no symptoms were detected, according to Correio da Manh\u00e3.<\/p>\n<p>She traveled to the Algarve, where she has owned a home for over 30 years, and started to suffer from severe abdominal pain.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tyler was later transferred to a hospital in Faro, Portugal, where she had the surgery. That date is not mentioned on the tour dates section on her website.<\/p>\n<p>She is set to perform across Germany, Czechia, Hungary, Turkey, Austria, Scotland, and England over the summer.<\/p>\n<p>It has been 50 years since she released her debut single: \u201cMy! My!
