She had no aristocratic blood.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Queen Camilla allegedly \u201cdid object\u201d to Kate a king, not a queen\u201d and \u201cpicked [Princess] Diana to be Charles\u2019 bride\u201d in 1981.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson noted that \u201cthe palace didn\u2019t really want\u201d Middleton, whom William, 43, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/prince-william-and-kate-middletons-relationship-timeline\/\">met attending the University of St Andrews<\/a> in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople like Camilla didn\u2019t want her because they felt that she was too common to be the wife of a future king,\u201d the biographer wrote, alleging the 78-year-old \u201cdid object\u201d to her a successful party supply business.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[Camilla] was very cognizant of the fact that a future king of England should have, she believed, a marriage to a royal personage, or at least a British aristocrat,\u201d Anderson wrote \u2014 not \u201ca descendant of coal miners whose mother had grown up in public housing and once worked as a flight attendant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As for Camilla\u2019s thoughts on Kate\u2019s mom, 71, she allegedly believed Carole to be a \u201cgauche opportunist\u201d and \u201cknew a schemer when she saw one.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure October 2010 and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2011\/04\/29\/history-is-made-kate-william-are-married\/\">tied the knot<\/a> in April of the following year.<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2011\/04\/30\/william-and-kates-official-photos-released\/\">2011 nuptials<\/a>, Camilla and Charles, 77, reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/05\/royal-family\/how-king-charles-queen-camilla-offended-kate-middleton-on-eve-of-prince-william-wedding\/\">\u201coffended\u201d the bride<\/a> by requesting she change the letter of her first name, Catherine, from a C to a K.<\/p>\n<p>They believed another C <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royal.uk\/his-majesty-kings-cypher\">royal cypher<\/a>\u00a0\u2014 a personalized monogram or emblem representing a royal family member \u2014 would be \u201coverkill,\u201d Anderson wrote.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter Camilla\u2019s camp\u201d \u2014 but the princess \u201cnever put a foot wrong.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Kate and the Prince of Wales have since <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/prince-william-kate-middleton-kids\/\">welcomed three children<\/a> \u2014 Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis,
