Especially when it sparkles.<\/p>\n<p>The lawyer was spotted at The King\u2019s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration at Royal Albert Hall in London Monday, wearing a golden sequin Alexander McQueen gown that caught every angle of light from the flashing bulbs.<\/p>\n<p>Clooney, 48, paired the metallic look with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cartier.com\/en-us\/jewelry\/earrings\/juste-un-clou\/juste-un-clou-earrings-double-diamonds-CRB8301504.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Cartier Juste un Clou double hoop earrings<\/a> ($14,600) \u2014\u00a0and she tripled-down on the gold with metallic pointed-heel pumps.<\/p>\n<p>The dress originally debuted on the runway as part of the fall\/winter 2007 \u201cIn Memory of Elizabeth Howe, Salem, 1692\u201d collection, which was inspired by the persecution of women, harkening back to the Salem Witch Trials (and McQueen\u2019s own ancestor Elizabeth Howe) \u2014 a theme that the human rights lawyer certainly keeps close to heart.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She chose the very same 2007 Alexander McQueen gown worn by Cameron Diaz almost 20 years ago. <span class=\"credit\">FilmMagic<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Clooney often reaches into designer archives for her jaw-dropping looks, both on and off the red carpet. <span class=\"credit\">dimitrishair\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>First to wear the architectural look off the runway? Cameron Diaz, who chose the gown for the \u201cShrek the Third\u201d Tokyo premiere red carpet in May 2007.<\/p>\n<p>The gown is covered entirely in golden sequins, boasting cap sleeves and a V neckline.
