{"id":1985,"date":"2026-05-13T16:31:27","date_gmt":"2026-05-13T16:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/corleone-crime-family-returns-in-a-new-godfather-novel-for-2027-release\/"},"modified":"2026-05-13T16:31:27","modified_gmt":"2026-05-13T16:31:27","slug":"corleone-crime-family-returns-in-a-new-godfather-novel-for-2027-release","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/corleone-crime-family-returns-in-a-new-godfather-novel-for-2027-release\/","title":{"rendered":"Corleone crime family returns in a new \u2018Godfather\u2019 novel for 2027 release"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/127651106.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2017\/05\/01\/godfather-cast-caps-off-tribeca-screening-at-the-grill\/\">Decades after the last\u00a0\u201cGodfather\u201d\u00a0movie<\/a> and more than 10 years since the last \u201cGodfather\u201d novel, the story of the Corleone crime family has a new chapter, presented for the first time from a woman\u2019s point of view.<\/p>\n<p>Random House told The Associated Press that it had acquired a \u201cGodfather\u201d novel authorized by the estate of Mario Puzo and written by bestselling author Adriana Trigiani. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cConnie\u201d is scheduled for a fall 2027 release and will center on the Corleone family member played by Talia Shire, sister of director\u00a0Francis Ford Coppola, in the three \u201cGodfather\u201d films.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"\/>\n<p>\u201cConnie\u201d is the third \u201cGodfather\u201d book approved by the estate and the first written by a woman.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Puzo, whose blockbuster 1969 novel \u201cThe Godfather\u201d provided the basis and title for the first film, died in 1999. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Connie\u2019 is a novel about how a woman works to forge her own way in a world that\u2019s already decided who she is, what she\u2019s about, and how she should be treated,\u201d Trigiani said in a statement Wednesday. \u201cPeople underestimated Don Vito Corleone and Michael Corleone at their peril. The same will be true for Connie Corleone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Paramount Pictures, which produced the \u201cGodfather\u201d movies,\u201d holds the film rights. We talked about how the women ran both of our families, but behind the scenes. Adriana\u2019s vision for Connie\u2019s life blew us all away.
