I was like, I will get detained at the border and I will be put in ICE detention if I go.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cho confirmed that the series was the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/04\/style\/heated-rivalry-heartthrobs-connor-storrie-and-hudson-williams-make-met-gala-2026-debut\/\">2025 sports romance show<\/a>\u00a0about two professional hockey players played by Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams who form a romantic bond while playing for rival teams.<\/p>\n<p>She added that she has since become a fan of the show and the woman who played her part.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Margaret Cho told the \u201cI Never Liked You\u201d podcast that she blamed President Trump for missing out on \u201cHeated Rivalry.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">I Never Liked You \/ YouTube<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The actress said she feared ICE would detain her if she traveled to Canada to join the hit HBO Max series. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cho also suggested she is looking to potentially appear in its <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/05\/style\/heated-rivalry-star-robbie-gk-on-season-2-taking-style-risks-and-his-dream-broadway-role\/\">second season<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve watched it. I\u2019ve hosted some rewatch parties, and I\u2019m like it kills me, like it kills me because of Trump,\u201d Cho said.<\/p>\n<p>Cho has been among many celebrities who have attacked Trump in the past,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/margaret-cho-has-gone-psycho-talking-donald-trump-surviving-rape-and-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">calling him \u201cabhorrent\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in 2015.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie play professional hockey players who form a romantic bond in \u201cHeated Rivalry.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Earlier this year, Cho recalled being asked to appear on <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/05\/13\/us-news\/vance-jokes-trump-is-holding-apprentice-contest-between-him-and-rubio-for-2028-successor\/\">Trump\u2019s show \u201cThe Apprentice\u201d<\/a> because Trump was reportedly \u201ca fan\u201d of her comedy, which she found \u201cweird.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was asked several times to be on it, season after season, and they kept saying, \u2018Well, Donald Trump really loves you.
