Spencer Pratt during a fundraiser the singer and her husband, David Foster, threw for the reality star\u2019s Los Angeles mayoral run.<\/p>\n<p>The couple threw a lavish fundraiser for the mayoral candidate in the backyard of their Brentwood Park home in Los Angeles over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Per a video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYPwDkCFBDy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared on Instagram<\/a> by news personality Alicia Summers, Foster, 76, played the keyboard while his wife, McPhee, used new lyrics for\u00a0Tina Turner\u2019s hit \u201cThe Best,\u201d singing that Pratt is \u201cbetter than\u00a0[LA Mayor] Karen Bass\u00a0and\u00a0[LA Councilmember] Nithya Raman.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>At one point, the former \u201cAmerican Idol\u201d runner-up forgot Raman\u2019s first name, referring to her incorrectly as \u201cCynthia.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>When McPhee, 42, mentioned the mistake, Pratt, also 42, shrugged his shoulders in uncertainty.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know the tide is turning in California when\u00a0@DavidFoster\u00a0and\u00a0@katharinefoster\u00a0open their home and write a song for\u00a0@SpencerPratt\u00a0\ud83d\udc4f La La Land is ready for a plot twist Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The guest list for the swanky backyard soir\u00e9e included film producer Brian Grazer.<\/p>\n<p>Both Bass and Raman are the \u201cHills\u201d star\u2019s two leading opponents in the race for mayor.<\/p>\n<p>The former reality star decided to dive into politics after <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/01\/23\/celebrity-news\/spencer-pratt-and-heidi-montag-sue-city-of-los-angeles-after-losing-home-in-wildfire\/\">losing his home<\/a> in the devastating 2025 Palisades fires.<\/p>\n<p>In January, Pratt <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/06\/hollywood\/how-spencer-pratt-became-a-serious-contender-for-la-mayor\/\">launched his campaign<\/a>, which focuses on cracking down on crime, addressing the homelessness crisis and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/video\/spencer-pratt-is-in-a-feud-with-gavin-newsom-over-the-100m-wildfire-relief-money\/\">criticizing the city leadership\u2019s wildfire response<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure future, including Los Angeles Lakers minority owner Jeanie Buss, who donated the maximum $1,800 to the former MTV star\u2019s campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pratt also receives support from \u201cMalibu\u2019s Most Wanted\u201d actor Jamie Kennedy, Meghan McCain and reality stars Jonathan Cheban, Jax Taylor and\u00a0Kristin Cavallari.<\/p>\n<p>The new LA mayor will be decided on election
