{"id":2193,"date":"2026-05-14T21:35:01","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T21:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/love-on-the-spectrum-star-pari-kims-mom-dead-after-breast-cancer-battle\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T21:35:01","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T21:35:01","slug":"love-on-the-spectrum-star-pari-kims-mom-dead-after-breast-cancer-battle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/love-on-the-spectrum-star-pari-kims-mom-dead-after-breast-cancer-battle\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Love on the Spectrum&#8217; star Pari Kim&#8217;s mom dead after breast cancer battle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/127783555.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cLove on the Spectrum\u201d star Pari Kim\u2019s mother, Esme, has died after battling breast cancer.<\/p>\n<p>In a heartbreaking <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYTcBxAy8DT\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram post<\/a> Wednesday, Kim \u2014 who was introduced to viewers in Season 3 of the hit Netflix show \u2014 wrote about her grief.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels like everything is becoming a train wreck and that there are two sides of yourself constantly fighting: the sad, lonely girl missing what was cruelly and unfairly taken from her at such a young age and the girl who has to stay strong and positive because she can\u2019t give up if she wants to keep moving forward,\u201d she wrote. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cLove on the Spectrum\u201d star Pari Kim shared that her mother, Esme, died in a heartbreaking Instagram post Wednesday. <span class=\"credit\">Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Esme was featured on the Netflix show, which is about people on the spectrum trying to find love. <span class=\"credit\">Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Kim, 24, noted that \u201cnot every train track is a smooth ride.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes the going gets rough and you need other trains to help you pull through and carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. \ud83d\ude22\ud83d\udd4a\ufe0f,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s difficult to keep chugging along when your guardian locomotive reaches the end of the line but you have to keep going somehow even without her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim also commented on her post, \u201cF\u2014k cancer button.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Kim wrote about her grief, noting, \u201cIt\u2019s difficult to keep chugging along when your guardian locomotive reaches the end of the line but you have to keep going somehow even without her.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Kim (pictured here in April 2025) was introduced to \u201cLove on the Spectrum\u201d viewers in season 3. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for Netflix<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kim later shared a message for her followers on Instagram about appreciating their parents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you still have parents and they are loving and caring to you, please be grateful and know how lucky you are!\u201d she posted. \u201cTime is precious and I didn\u2019t expect to lose both of them so young!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim\u2019s dad, Henry Kim, died in October 2020.\u00a0According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com\/obituary\/Henry-Kim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his obituary<\/a>, he passed away unexpectedly.<\/p>\n<p>He was 55 years old.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She did find love with Tina Zhu Xi Caruso (pictured here). <span class=\"credit\">Pari Kim\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>However, she revealed they split last month. <span class=\"credit\">Pari Kim\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Esme died following her battle with stage 4 breast cancer at 61 years old, Netflix <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/tv\/16361376\/love-on-the-spectrum-pari-kim-mother-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed to the US Sun.<\/a> Esme was shown battling cancer during filming of the show.<\/p>\n<p>Kim shared in an episode of her mom, \u201cShe does have breast cancer right now but she is on treatments so I\u2019m hoping she can stay around and stay around for awhile.
