The weight of his promises and everything just so f\u2014ing heavy and\u2026 he never got to be happy \u2026\u201d Beth says on \u201cDutton Ranch.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for what?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Annette Bening (pictured in Dutton Ranch) is also shown Googling John.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>New \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d additions such as Ed Harris as Everett McKinney and Bening  (pictured) also seem interested in the Dutton legacy.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Beth and Rip aren\u2019t the only ones who talk about John on \u201cDutton Ranch.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As the couple purchases their Texas ranch from its previous owner, Jeanie Edwards (Harriet Sansom Harris), she says,\u00a0\u201cI didn\u2019t know your daddy, except by reputation\u2026 and what I later read in the papers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Beth and Rip\u2019s hostile new neighbor, Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening), is also shown looking John up online and reading articles about his death.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>John Dutton (pictured on \u201cYellowstone\u201d) got killed off in the final season.  <span class=\"credit\">Paramount Network<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>John (pictured on \u201cYellowstone\u201d with Luke Grimes\u2019 Kayce) was killed by a hitman.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Created by Taylor Sheridan, \u201cYellowstone\u201d aired from 2018 to 2024. The hit western followed powerful Montana rancher \/ politician John, and his family, including Beth, Rip, Kayce (Luke Grimes) and Jamie (Wes Bentley).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the final season of \u201cYellowstone,\u201d amid <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/06\/21\/taylor-sheridan-breaks-silence-on-costner-god-complex-rumors\/\">rumors of a behind the scenes feud <\/a>between Costner and Sheridan, John was axed.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Dutton family patriarch was killed by a hitman \u2013 and Jamie was indirectly responsible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beth (pictured with Marc Menchaca on \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d will be more \u201cdangerous.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beth and Rip (pictured in \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) are in a more \u201cmature\u201d era, said exec producer Christina Alexandra Voros.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In retaliation, Beth killed Jamie at the end of \u201cYellowstone\u201d and Rip helped her.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She explained that the tough-talking cowgirl and her husband are in a \u201cmore mature era\u201d at the moment.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beth and Rip (pictured on \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d with Marc Menchaca) have \u201cfought\u201d to have peace, said Voros.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Beth and Rip (pictured on \u201cDutton Ranch\u201d) will find \u201cwar coming to their doorstep,\u201d exec producer Voros said.  <span class=\"credit\">Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cYou really see these two people who have fought so hard to try to finally have peace.
