Lachey revealed that he, his wife Vanessa Lachey, and their three kids sat in first class near his <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/14\/entertainment\/nick-lachey-details-plane-run-in-with-ex-wife-jessica-simpson-after-20-years-apart-wwhl\/\">ex-wife, Jessica Simpson, while on a six-hour flight to Hawaii<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Nick\u2019s former \u201cNewlyweds\u201d co-star\u2019s children flew in economy, according to the 98 Degrees member.<\/p>\n<figure wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Nick explained while on Wednesday\u2019s episode of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DYTZ7gmBXOI\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cWatch What Happens Live\u201d<\/a> that Simpson was with his \u201cformer mother-in-law,\u201d Tina Ann Drew.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI believe her kids and her \u2014 I\u2019m not familiar with where they stand, but \u2014 her husband, maybe, were on the plane but not with us,\u201d the \u201cPerfect Match\u201d host continued. <\/p>\n<p>Host Andy Cohen then inquired if Simpson and estranged husband Eric Johnson\u2019s little ones \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2012\/05\/01\/jessica-simpson-gives-birth-to-baby-girl-maxwell-drew-johnson\/\">daughter Maxwell<\/a>, 14,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/02\/05\/parents\/jessica-simpsons-12-year-old-son-towers-over-pop-star-in-sweet-snap\/\">son Ace<\/a>, 12, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2019\/03\/20\/jessica-simpson-gives-birth-to-her-third-child\/\">daughter Birdie<\/a>, 7 \u2014 were \u201cin a separate class of service.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Nick confirmed they were.<\/p>\n<p>When news first broke of the singer, 52, and fashion designer\u2019s run-in, TMZ alleged that Simpson, 45, switched seats with a fellow passenger to be further away from her ex,  46.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Cohen\u2019s questioning, Nick noted that the reunion was \u201cstrangely OK,\u201d adding that \u201cit\u2019s been 20 years\u201d since<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/jessica-simpsons-dating-history-her-ex-boyfriends-and-husbands\/\"> the pair was married<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe hadn\u2019t seen each other in those 20 years, then spent six and a half hours on a flight to Hawaii together,\u201d the musician mused, before quickly clarifying that he and Simpson were simply \u201cin the same vicinity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nick shared that, \u201ceveryone was very, very cordial\u201d and \u201cvery respectful.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter
