What could you possibly get for the girl who has everything?<\/a> If you\u2019re Travis Kelce, it would appear, a suite of jewelry once owned by Elizabeth Taylor will do nicely.<\/p>\n

Over the past several weeks, Taylor Swift has stepped out in various pieces from a collection of opal jewels hailing from the late movie star\u2019s estate; first, a ring and round-cut bracelet<\/a> for an April outing in NYC, followed by a similar marquise-shaped bracelet for her recent New York Times Magazine interview<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Then, shortly after the Grammy winner was spotted in Brooklyn<\/a> on Saturday night wearing the full suite \u2014\u00a0including both bracelets, the ring and a show-stopping set of matching chandelier earrings \u2014\u00a0Fox Estate Jewelry<\/a>\u2018s Adam Fox shared an Instagram Reel<\/a> suggesting Kelce may have purchased the one-of-a-kind set for his bride-to-be.<\/p>\n

The sale took place \u201cduring Christmas time,\u201d Fox said in his video,\u00a0and the buyer was a sports agent \u2014\u00a0not exactly his usual sort of customer.<\/p>\n

Despite the \u201cvery strange\u201d nature of the purchase, Fox shrugged it off \u2014\u00a0that is, until he woke up on Sunday to a post from Instagram account WeWoreWhatJewels<\/a> showing the full suite on Swift.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was like, ah<\/em>, this makes so much more sense,\u201d he told us, adding that it was \u201cvery cool\u201d seeing jewelry he sold wind up on one of the most famous women in the world.<\/p>\n

As for whether Kelce (or a member of his team) was the mystery buyer?<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just the jewelry dealer,\u201d he demurred. \u201cI just had to assume. And the only reason I assumed that was because it was going to a sports agent.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fox had initially been drawn to the suite due to its Hollywood provenance, \u201cvery good\u201d quality and unique designer; while Taylor reportedly owned a number of Darlene de Sedle\u2019s pieces, the jeweler\u2019s far from a household name.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not something that\u2019s ever run across my desk,\u201d he said of the set, crafted from black opals and natural Australian crystal set in 22-karat gold.<\/p>\n

And following the 2011 Christie\u2019s sale, the pieces disappeared from public view for more than a decade, adding to their intrigue.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just glad it went to somebody that actually appreciates it. I know Taylor Swift has a song about Elizabeth Taylor, and it all makes sense. It seems like it was bought with a lot of purpose; there was obviously a lot of thought put into this one,\u201d Fox said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd coming from somebody like Elizabeth Taylor and going to somebody who, among today\u2019s generation, is just as recognizable as Taylor was back then? I think that\u2019s very cool.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
