And while <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lyntwig_\/status\/2056115507078529044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">taking the stage<\/a> to accept her diploma, she was announced as \u201cZahara Marley Jolie\u201d \u2014 noticeably leaving out \u201cPitt\u201d from her name.<\/p>\n<p>The 21-year-old received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the Atlanta-based college.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt\u2019s daughter dropped her dad\u2019s last name as she graduated from Spelman announced as \u201cZahara Marley Jolie,\u201d as she took to the stage during the ceremony. <span class=\"credit\">Spelman College<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time she has dropped the last name of her <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/06\/18\/parents\/where-brad-pitt-stands-with-his-and-angelina-jolies-kids-report\/\">estranged father<\/a> at a public event, however.<\/p>\n<p>When Zahara<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/11\/16\/parents\/angelina-jolie-brad-pitts-daughter-zahara-18-joins-aka-sorority-at-spelman\/\"> joined the Alpha Kappa Alpha organization<\/a> back in 2023, she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/11\/16\/parents\/zahara-jolie-pitt-seemingly-disses-brad-drops-last-name-during-introduction\/\">proudly declared herself<\/a> as \u201cZahara Marley Jolie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a video from the sorority\u2019s induction ceremony, she shouted it while shaking her hair and performing a series of moves.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, social media users pointed out that one of her brothers also <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/parents\/celebrity-kids-who-dropped-famous-last-names\/\">dropped their father\u2019s last name<\/a> years prior.<\/p>\n<figure href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/maddox-jolie-pitt-testified-against-brad-pitt-in-angelina-jolie-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Us Weekly reported<\/a> that the former couple\u2019s son Maddox \u201cdoesn\u2019t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren\u2019t legal and instead uses Jolie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The insider alleged, \u201cMaddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn\u2019t support.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, their youngest daughter, Vivienne, also appeared to diss her dad while <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/04\/12\/parents\/angelina-jolie-talks-working-with-daughter-on-the-outsiders\/\">working with her mom on the Broadway adaptation of \u201cThe Outsiders.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At the time, her name was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/05\/27\/parents\/angelina-jolie-brad-pitts-daughter-vivienne-drops-his-last-name-in-playbill\/\">listed as \u201cVivienne Jolie\u201d in the show\u2019s Playbill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Several of her siblings have also dropped Pitt\u2019s surname following his teenager\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/06\/02\/parents\/angelina-jolie-and-brad-pitts-daughter-shiloh-paid-for-lawyer-to-drop-actors-last-name\/\">\u201chired her own lawyer and paid for it<\/a>\u00a0herself,\u201d \u201cEntertainment Tonight\u201d reported in June 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The exes <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/parents\/angelina-jolie-brad-pitt-kids\/\">share six children<\/a> in total: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.<\/p>\n<p>Jolie adopted Maddox from Cambodia in 2002, followed by Zahara three years later. Pitt, 62, went on to adopt Pax one year later.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cMr. and Mrs. Smith\u201d co-stars began dating in 2005 but didn\u2019t marry until 2014.
