She then allegedly retrieved a knife from the kitchen, severed his genitals and fed them to her pet dogs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Maria is additionally accused of attempting to dismember the victim&#8217;s body, before fleeing into the street drenched in blood on 23 August 2019, report <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailystar.co.uk\/news\/world-news\/wife-chopped-husbands-genitals-fed-37170638\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">the Daily Star<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Speaking to local media, neighbour Nadezhda Opanasiuk, who encountered the accused on the street, said she struggled to believe what Maria was telling her until she witnessed the gruesome scene herself, with Maria confessing to having her husband&#8217;s head in a sack.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Opanasiuk disclosed: &#8220;Her hands, feet and clothes were in blood. She said, &#8216;I am in trouble. I&#8217;ve killed my husband.&#8217; I did not believe her. I thought they had a quarrel and she might have hit him. I went to see if he needed medical help. When I walked into the room, I saw his mutilated body. The bedsheets were soaked with blood. I asked her, &#8216;Where&#8217;s his head?&#8217;, and she replied, &#8216;there, in the sack.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Opanasiuk immediately alerted neighbours, who subsequently contacted the police. Authorities arrived at the property and arrested Maria following her admission to the killing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Police spokesman Vadim Artiukhovich confirmed the incident, stating: &#8220;The suspect confessed in full at the scene. She was charged with murder and taken into custody.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">He continued: &#8220;The woman said that she was constantly suffering physical and emotional abuse and did not see any other option to end her misery. Neighbours say they, in fact, saw the husband beating her up and chasing her with an axe a lot of times. However, the woman has never reported the incidents.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Yet Maria&#8217;s son Viktor Fesianov remains unable to forgive his mother for her actions. &#8220;I know she is my mother.
