He works for The Post!\u201d) at the opening night party for \u201cCelebrity Autobiography\u201d Monday that he expects the London revival of Arthur Miller\u2019s \u201cAll My Sons,\u201d which he starred in alongside Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu, to head to Broadway next spring.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I saw the play, which is directed by Ivo van Hove, back in December. And as is typical of the Belgian auteur responsible for Broadway\u2019s brilliant, blood-soaked \u201cA View From The Bridge,\u201d it\u2019s seismic, starkly stylish and superb.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Bryan Cranston and Tom Hanks attend the opening night of \u201cCelebrity Autobiography\u201d on Broadway. <span class=\"credit\">Bruce Glikas\/WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cranston and Jean-Baptiste are ferocious. And Essiedu, who played Chris, won the Olivier Award in April. Essiedu\u2019s schedule could be tough, though. He\u2019s the new Professor Snape on the upcoming \u201cHarry Potter\u201d HBO TV series. But, hey, Hogwarts let John Lithgow take some PTO this season for \u201cGiant.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cBreaking Bad\u201d star was at Redeye Grill Monday night after the funny Broadway show \u201cCelebrity Autobiography,\u201d in which performers skewer bold-facers such as Celine Dion and David Hasselhoff by reading their ridiculous memoirs aloud.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Cranston, whose theatrical career hasn\u2019t exactly been filled with yuks, said he wants in on the action.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d be honored if something that was found in my autobiography was read onstage,\u201d the actor said. \u201cI\u2019d be, like, \u2018Oh my God, I remember writing that!&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cranston was upstairs at the West 56th Street restaurant with Tom Hanks and Nia Vardalos celebrating Hanks\u2019 wife Rita Wilson, who is one of many rotating readers in the show, along with Gayle King, Vardalos, Kenan Thompson, Jackie Hoffman and many more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Christy Turlington, Ed Burns, Bryan Cranston, Rita Wilson, Robin Dearden and Tom Hanks partied at Redeye Grill on opening night. <span class=\"credit\">Bruce Glikas\/WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The actor said that as he sat down at the Shubert Theatre Monday night he readied himself in case Wilson set her target on him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wrote one 10 years ago, and so I was wondering \u2014 because Rita\u2019s a friend of mine \u2014 I thought, \u2018Did she find an excerpt from mine?\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Luckily Cranston was spared, because these crowds are definitely laughing <em>at<\/em> the celebs \u2014 not with \u2018em.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Cranston last appeared on Broadway as Howard Beale in \u201cNetwork.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When I pointed out to the 70-year-old actor that his last decade could easily warrant a Volume 2,\u00a0he agreed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have enough material for another book,\u201d Cranston said. \u201cAnd then I\u2019m in a group of character actors, friends, and we\u2019re writing a book for charity of other stories. So I have three stories in there.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The actor loves the stage and is currently two for two at the Tony Awards, for his performances as President Lyndon B. Johnson in \u201cAll The Way\u201d and Howard Beale in \u201cNetwork.\u201d\u00a0A three-peat could be in the cards. And for many Hollywood stars, it\u2019s completely off the table.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no money in it,\u201d Cranston said. \u201cYou actually are losing money by doing theater. That\u2019s how difficult it is for actors who are here in New York just doing theater.
