ex-executive assistant Leslie Kuhn <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/06\/celebrity-news\/howard-stern-sued-by-ex-assistant-as-she-exposes-alleged-hostile-work-environment\/\">filed a lawsuit<\/a> against him and wife Beth Stern for <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/13\/celebrity-news\/howard-sterns-ex-employee-demands-staggering-amount-in-court-battle\/\">$2.5 million in damages<\/a>, the shock jock has responded.<\/p>\n<p>The 72-year-old is \u201cnot going to play this out in public,\u201d his lawyer Ilene Farkas tells us.<\/p>\n<figure wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cThe Sterns are entitled to enforce non-disclosure agreements signed by employees who enter their home and their private life,\u201d the statement continued.<\/p>\n<p>Howard\u2019s former employee, notably, has requested that two confidentiality and nondisclosure agreements \u2014 which she claimed she didn\u2019t sign \u2014 be deemed unenforceable so she can respond to \u201caccusations made against her\u201d and \u201cprotect her reputation and future employment prospects.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kuhn, who started working with Howard in 2022 as an office manager and ultimately became his executive assistant, was terminated earlier this year.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter October 2018) earlier this month. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Howard, in his response Wednesday, shared past e-mails in an effort to prove Kuhn knowingly signed the agreements \u2014 evidence he claims to have shown his ex-employee and her attorney before her lawsuit dropped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason Kuhn filed this lawsuit was to pressure the Stern Parties into making an outlandish payment to make her go away,\u201d Howard\u2019s filing reads. \u201cThe sole reason Kuhn\u2019s termination has become a matter of public record is because Kuhn and her counsel chose to publicize it by filing this lawsuit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He claimed to have told Kuhn in writing that he did not have any intention of talking about her firing, as well as no plans to give anything but a neutral references to future employers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere was no smear campaign, no actual or threatened disclosure and no reputational attack,\u201d the docs read. \u201cNone.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">She has demanded the couple (pictured above in August href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/business\/business-news\/howard-stern-dismiss-ex-assistant-lawsuit-shakedown-1236580533\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hollywood Reporter was the first<\/a> to report on Howard challenging the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, we broke the news of Kuhn suing the couple over an <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/07\/celebrity-news\/howard-sterns-ex-assistant-exposes-immense-pressure-and-questionable-business-operations-in-lawsuit\/\">allegedly hostile work environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for SiriusXM<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The lawsuit came three years after several of Howard\u2019s ex-staffers <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/07\/celebrity-news\/ex-howard-stern-staffers-detail-frightening-truth-of-working-for-him\/\">discussed the \u201cfrightening\u201d financial reality<\/a> of working for him in Vice TV\u2019s \u201cDark Side of the 2000s Shock Jocks\u201d docuseries.<\/p>\n<p>Jackie \u201cThe Joke Man\u201d Martling, who worked on the \u201cHoward Stern Show\u201d between 1983 to 2001, told viewers in 2023 that employees \u00a0\u201cweren\u2019t getting paid well,\u201d despite the host \u201cmaking countless millions of dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steve Grillo, who didn\u2019t get paid until six years into his internship, also blasted his \u201chorrible\u201d former boss for \u201cmaking a million dollars an hour\u201d while he had \u201cto go work at a nightclub in order to survive.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><a
