It is a financial headache that arrives at arguably the worst possible moment for a couple that has watched its business empire take a beating over the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Five contractors and subcontractors filed mechanics liens against the couple\u2019s 110-acre property in Lewisboro last month, with Westchester County records showing the combined claims total $2.1 million according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/DailyMail.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The biggest hit came from FlowCon Inc., doing business as Flower Construction, which is seeking $1.35 million for work that allegedly included framing, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, drywall, masonry, waterproofing, painting and millwork, documents obtained by The Post show. Additional claims cover custom copper roofing, structural steel fabrication, rough carpentry, geothermal excavation and septic installation. The couple quietly acquired the South Salem compound through an LLC in 2018, then added a $1.6 million four-bedroom parcel and four surrounding plots two years later. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The buildout, which they envisioned as a geothermal-powered and environmentally conscious retreat, includes a 14,500-square-foot main residence, a 3,306-square-foot pool house for a 1,000-square-foot swimming pool, a 1,702-square-foot gym and accompanying septic and stormwater systems. Construction is believed to have stalled sometime around late 2025 or early 2026.<\/p>\n<p>At a 2022 planning board hearing, Lively was effusive about her feelings for the property, describing it as \u201cheaven\u201d and \u201cthe most beautiful place in the world.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe love this land so much. We\u2019re so grateful to have this land and to have such space and such privacy,\u201d she told town officials. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The dispute, which settled last month with no money changing hands, torched the couple\u2019s commercial empire along the way, with Lively\u2019s Blake Brown haircare line cratering from a projected $100 million brand to roughly $15 million in value at Target, while Reynolds\u2019 Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile saw weakened sales and pulled campaigns. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/Blake Lively<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She said the couple was \u201cdesperate to get shovels in the ground and be living on this land.\u201d Their attorney, Michael Sirignano, confirmed the couple had \u201cno plans\u201d to sell any of the surrounding lots, saying the intent was for it to \u201cremain a family compound\u201d for Lively, Reynolds and their four children.<\/p>\n<p>That compound is still unfinished. And the liens raise uncomfortable questions about what the couple\u2019s bruising legal war with director Justin Baldoni may have cost them off-screen.<\/p>\n<p>Lively <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/21\/entertainment\/blake-lively-sues-it-ends-with-us-co-star-justin-baldoni-for-sexual-harassment-campaign-to-destroy-reputation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sued Baldoni,<\/a> her co-star and director on \u201cIt Ends With Us,\u201d for creating a hostile work environment. Baldoni <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/01\/16\/entertainment\/justin-baldoni-sues-blake-lively-ryan-reynolds-for-400m-drags-taylor-swift-into-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">countersued for $400 million.<\/a> The case churned through months of explosive accusations, leaked texts and legal filings before both parties <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/06\/celebrity-news\/blake-lively-settlement-was-huge-victory-for-justin-baldoni-lawyer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reached a settlement <\/a>earlier this month, just two weeks before trial was set to begin. Her husband had already demonstrated a Midas touch in the spirits and telecom space, having built Aviation Gin into a brand acquired by Diageo for $610 million in 2020 and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/03\/15\/ryan-reynolds-mint-mobile-scooped-up-by-t-mobile-in-1-35b-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mint Mobile<\/a> into one snapped up by T-Mobile for $1.35 billion in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Lively\u2019s own venture<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/07\/31\/style\/blake-lively-announces-new-haircare-line-blake-brown-beauty\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">, Blake Brown,<\/a> a haircare line launched at Target back in August 2024, was widely expected to be the retailer\u2019s next major beauty breakout, with projections pointing toward $100 million in brand value.<\/p>\n<p>It did not go that way. A person familiar with the brand\u2019s performance told Puck it \u201cwent from a $100 million brand to a $15 million brand,\u201d calling it \u201ca non-conversation\u201d at Target. Sales had plunged more than 87% from their peak.<\/p>\n<p>Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile also faced softened demand and pulled campaigns during the chaos.
