reportedly \u201cat peace\u201d with the actress and Martin Short\u2019s romance.<\/p>\n<p>The sculptor\u2019s \u201cperspective has changed\u201d since \u201cso much time has passed since they stopped being a couple,\u201d a source <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.com\/tvshowbiz\/article-15838203\/Meryl-Streep-husband-secret-relationship-Martin-Short.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told the Daily Mail<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The exes, notably, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/10\/20\/meryl-streep-husband-don-gummer-have-been-separated-for-more-than-6-years\/\">separated in 2017<\/a> after 45 years of marriage and <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/parents\/meryl-streeps-family-meet-her-and-don-gummers-four-kids\/\">four children<\/a> together.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image over,\u201d the outlet claimed, insisting this \u201cwould have hit [him] hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The insider alleged that \u201cenough time has passed now that he\u2019s genuinely at peace with it\u201d \u2014 and has \u201ccome to terms with the end of his marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The artist, 79, and Streep, 76, have reportedly \u201c\u2018reached a place of mutual respect, which definitely class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the time, the duo\u2019s rep told us, \u201cWhile they will always care for each other, they have chosen lives apart.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speculation began swirling around the \u201cSophie\u2019s Choice\u201d star and Short, also 76, in early 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The actor\u2019s rep, however, claimed the co-stars <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/01\/09\/entertainment\/meryl-streep-martin-short-not-dating-just-good-friends\/\">were \u201cjust very good friends<\/a>, nothing more.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure Maher\u2019s \u201cClub Random\u201d podcast later the same month, telling listeners, \u201cWe are not a couple.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, he and Streep continued to make outings, from <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/02\/22\/entertainment\/meryl-streep-martin-short-dine-after-denying-dating-rumors\/\">grabbing dinner<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/03\/18\/entertainment\/meryl-streep-and-martin-short-enjoy-broadway-outing-after-denying-dating-rumors\/\">seeing Broadway shows<\/a> \u2014 and they <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/23\/celebrity-news\/martin-short-meryl-streep-hold-hands-after-denying-dating\/\">held hands at the \u201cOMITB\u201d Season 4 premiere<\/a> in August 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Their fellow cast member Steve Martin only <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/10\/19\/celebrity-news\/steve-martin-reacts-to-meryl-streep-and-martin-short-dating-rumors\/\">fueled
