They\u2019ve been very smart. They\u2019ve done well \u2014 all of them. That\u2019s very unusual in a cast with children,\u201d she marveled. \u201cThey\u2019ve done a good job of that. They\u2019re good people. They\u2019re all good people.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>William \u201cBill\u201d Daniels and his wife, Bonnie Bartlett, told Page Six there were \u201cproblems\u201d among the \u201cBoy Meets World\u201d cast and crew even before the Ben Savage feud. <span class=\"credit\">Page Six<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>\u201cThey had some problems working together as \u2026 they grew up,\u201d Bartlett said. Pictured above is a scene from the beloved teen sitcom. <span class=\"credit\">ben savage\/ instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The actress agreed that her longtime husband \u2014 who played a stern, wise and involved teacher to his students \u2014 was a real-life \u201cpositive influence\u201d on the young cast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe never told them what to do, but they learned a lot just from watching him \u2026 how to behave, what is serious,\u201d Bartlett elaborated. \u201cYou know, with kids, it\u2019s all a joke, it\u2019s all funny. And I think [Daniels] introduced them to the seriousness of responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Savage, who was 13 when he began playing star Cory Matthews in 1993, abruptly stopped communicating with his former co-stars \u2014 including Danielle Fishel (Topanga Lawrence), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter) and Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) \u2014 sometime around 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The trio \u2014 who <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/07\/29\/danielle-fishel-boy-meets-world-creator-threatened-to-fire-me\/\">have been critical of \u201cBoy Meets World\u201d co-creator Michael Jacobs<\/a> in the past \u2014 told Variety in a June 2023 interview that they don\u2019t know why Savage \u201cdisappeared,\u201d insisting that there was no \u201cfight,\u201d \u201cfalling out\u201d or \u201canimosity.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Bartlett noted that it\u2019s \u201cvery unusual\u201d for child stars to \u201cgrow up\u201d on camera and then \u201ccontinue in the business.\u201d Seen here are Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Ben Savage. <span class=\"credit\">ben savage\/ instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Savage, who was 13 when he began playing star Cory Matthews in 1993, \u201cghosted\u201d his former co-stars sometime around 2020. He tried pivoting to a career in politics \u2014 first running for a seat on the West Hollywood City Council in 2022 and then running as a Democrat for California\u2019s 30th Congressional District in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI spoke to him a few years ago when he was running for office, and he emailed us to see if we would support him, but I don\u2019t think anything ever came of that,\u201d Bartlett recalled during our interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I think he and his wife have a baby now!
