We need your wit and truth now more than ever!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out the sweet messages, another social media user penned, \u201cI\u2019m glad you\u2019re home now. Get better soon. \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0\u201cSuddenly Susan\u201d actress has never shied away from sharing her life with her fans.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>In August 2021, the comedian (pictured here in the hospital) announced that \u2014 despite never having smoked \u2014 she was diagnosed with lung cancer. <span class=\"credit\">Kathy Griffin\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>At the time, the \u201cSuddenly Susan\u201d alum (pictured here in the hospital) told followers that she would have to have half of her left lung removed. <span class=\"credit\">kathygriffin\/Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In August 2021, ABC\u2019s \u201cNightline\u201d aired a sit-down interview with Griffin in which <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/08\/02\/kathy-griffin-details-2020-suicide-attempt-secret-pill-addiction\/\">she detailed her past addiction to prescription drugs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Emmy winner also spoke about hitting a breaking point in early 2020 when her thoughts of suicide became \u201cobsessive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started really convincing myself it was a good decision,\u201d she confessed. \u201cI got my living revocable trust in order. I had all my ducks in a row. I fear drugs and addiction more than I fear cancer.
