{"id":325,"date":"2026-04-30T18:16:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T18:16:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/teddi-mellencamp-showcases-brain-surgery-scars-amid-cancer-battle\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T18:16:27","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T18:16:27","slug":"teddi-mellencamp-showcases-brain-surgery-scars-amid-cancer-battle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/teddi-mellencamp-showcases-brain-surgery-scars-amid-cancer-battle\/","title":{"rendered":"Teddi Mellencamp showcases brain surgery scars amid cancer battle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/04\/126715204.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Teddi Mellencamp bravely showcased her brain surgery scars as she continues to battle stage 4 cancer. <\/p>\n<p>The \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d alum <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DXvOD7eFGJX\/?img_index=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted a picture of her shaved head<\/a> via Instagram Thursday, revealing the surgery scars\u00a0from her <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/02\/12\/celebrity-news\/teddi-mellencamp-reveals-doctors-found-multiple-tumors-on-her-brain-that-have-been-growing-for-at-least-6-months\/\">emergency brain surgery last<\/a> year. <\/p>\n<p>Also in the carousel, she posted a snap of her signature long, blond hair \u2014 a stark contrast from the vulnerable photo. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Teddi Mellencamp bravely showcased her brain surgery scars via Instagram Thursday. <span class=\"credit\">Teddi Mellencamp\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d alum also posted a snap of her signature long, blond hair \u2014 a stark contrast from the vulnerable photo.  <span class=\"credit\">Teddi Mellencamp\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Mellencamp was first <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/10\/11\/teddi-mellencamp-diagnosed-with-stage-2-melanoma\/\">diagnosed with melanoma in 2022<\/a>, which later\u00a0metastasized to her lungs and brain.<\/p>\n<p>The Bravolebrity <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/10\/03\/celebrity-news\/teddi-mellencamp-reveals-major-health-update-in-stage-4-cancer-battle\/\">revealed her cancer was \u201cgone\u201d<\/a>\u00a0last October, but is not officially considered in remission by doctors. <\/p>\n<p>Since then, her hair has begun to grow back so it is too long to wear wigs, which is why the Bravolebrity took to social media to ask her followers for advice and share her hair growth journey. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a question for all my cancer friends out there,\u201d the 44-year-old began in an Instagram Reel in the carousel. \u201cYou guys have been so much help and given me amazing referrals for great wigs that I\u2019ve been using for the past however many months.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Mellencamp \u2014 who was first diagnosed with melanoma in 2022 \u2014 has had some hair growth since announcing that her cancer was \u201cgone\u201d last October.  <span class=\"credit\">Teddi Mellencamp\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She took to Instagram to ask her fellow \u201ccancer friends\u201d for advice on how to style her hair and wear wigs while it continues to grow. <span class=\"credit\">Teddi Mellencamp\/ Instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cBut my question now is, now what?\u201d she said, referring to her short, blond locks. \u201cThe hair is too long for the wigs and I\u2019m sick of the wigs. But like, what are we supposed to do here?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her fans took to the comments to praise her short-haired look and recommend that she try to style it rather than hide it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDye it bleach blonde and have fun!!\u201d one user suggested. \u201cI love it just like that! So cute! \ud83e\ude77\u201d another gushed. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI kind of love it where it\u2019s at\u2026you\u2019re beautiful,\u201d former \u201cBachelorette\u201d Kaitlyn Bristowe commented. Meanwhile, \u201cReal Housewives of Dubai\u201d star Caroline Stanbury wrote, \u201ci love your hair \u2764\ufe0f\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Later on Thursday, Mellencamp <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DXwyYj6oB50\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">shared an adorable video<\/a> of her son Cruz trying to style her hair, but joked in the comments that the 13-year-old left her looking like \u201cone of the Paul brothers,\u201d referring to Jake and Logan Paul. <\/p>\n<p>She shares Cruz, along with daughers Slate and Dove, with <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/11\/04\/celebrity-news\/teddi-mellencamp-files-for-divorce-wants-custody-of-kids\/\">estranged husband Edwin Arroyave<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure
