{"id":3288,"date":"2026-05-23T17:16:20","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T17:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/rhobh-star-erika-jaynes-25m-legal-nightmare-takes-shocking-turn-days-before-trial\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T17:16:20","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T17:16:20","slug":"rhobh-star-erika-jaynes-25m-legal-nightmare-takes-shocking-turn-days-before-trial","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/rhobh-star-erika-jaynes-25m-legal-nightmare-takes-shocking-turn-days-before-trial\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;RHOBH&#8217; star Erika Jayne\u2019s $25M legal nightmare takes shocking turn days before trial"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/05\/128574812.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Erika Jayne settled <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/08\/27\/erika-jayne-sued-for-25m-in-girardi-keese-bankruptcy-case\/\">her $25 million bankruptcy lawsuit <\/a>just days before it was set to go to trial.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney of the plaintiff in the lawsuit shared in a court transcript <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/erika-jayne-settles-25m-bankruptcy-lawsuit-ahead-of-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained by Us Weekly<\/a>, \u201cBased on multiple conversations with counsel we have agreed to a settlement. And we\u2019re asking the court to allow us to dismiss without prejudice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The settlement amount was not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cReal Housewives of Beverly Hills\u201d alum, 54, was sued back in August 2021 by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case of <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/19\/entertainment\/erika-jayne-gives-update-on-years-long-tom-girardi-divorce\/\">her estranged husband Tom Girardi\u2019s<\/a> former law firm, Girardi Keese.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Erika Jayne (pictured here in April) settled her $25 million bankruptcy lawsuit just days before it was set to go to trial. <span class=\"credit\">Christopher Peterson \/ SplashNews.com<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The settlement amount was not disclosed. Jayne is pictured here promoting season 15 of \u201cThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Trae Patton\/Bravo<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The letter alleged that money was transferred from Girardi\u2019s law firm into Jayne\u2019s company, EJ Global LLC, and noted that she is the sole owner of the company.<\/p>\n<p>The trustee argued that just because Jayne claimed she didn\u2019t know about <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/06\/03\/celebrity-news\/tom-girardi-sentenced-to-prison-on-86th-birthday-after-fraud-conviction\/\">her husband\u2019s financial issues,<\/a> \u201cit would be a miscarriage of justice if [she] was allowed to simply walk completely free of owing over $25,000,000 to the Estate.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jayne \u2014 seen here in February \u2014 was sued back in 2021 by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case of her estranged husband Tom Girardi\u2019s former law firm, Girardi Keese. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Jayne was accused of spending $25 million from the firm on an American Express bill and glam squad, among other charges. The trustee wanted her to pay the amount back plus interest. <span class=\"credit\">GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cErika signed all of her tax returns, numerous credit card slips, and was well aware of the money she spent on the Debtor\u2019s credit cards and the Debtor\u2019s payment of her personal expenses,\u201d the trustee alleged. \u201cHer feigned willful blindness and ostrich approach to these expenditures will do absolutely nothing to limit her liability.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the amended complaint is another example of the trustee and her counsel jumping to conclusions without a full investigation, and bullying and blaming Erika for actions taken by Girardi Keese for which Erika does not have legal liability,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Girardi, seen here in August 2024,  is currently in prison for fraud. He began <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/07\/18\/celebrity-news\/tom-girardi-surrenders-to-prison-to-start-7-year-sentence-for-fraud\/\">serving his seven-year sentence<\/a> a month later.<\/p>\n<p>Jayne told Andy Cohen on \u201cWatch What Happens Live\u201d in December that she has <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/19\/entertainment\/erika-jayne-gives-update-on-years-long-tom-girardi-divorce\/\">not visited Girardi, 87, in prison<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s just too much,\u201d she explained. \u201cThat\u2019s enough. He\u2019s done.
