This is something I\u2019ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>The vocalist, 33, shared that he felt \u201cembarrassed\u201d for trying to suppress his feelings, admitting that he \u201cspent a decade burying feelings with alcohol.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, when I decided to put it down and focus on exploring why I felt this way for so long, it\u2019s been a direct path to me reconciling with my sexuality in hopes that it will eventually lead to me experiencing self love,\u201d Caleb continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI am a proudly gay man,\u201d Shomo (seen above) wrote. <span class=\"credit\">oshiebicha\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cThis is something I\u2019ve been unpacking and reckoning with in my life for quite some time now,\u201d the musician (seen here) added. <span class=\"credit\">oshiebicha\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The \u201cI Was Alive\u201d crooner stated that he was now \u201cfinally proud\u201d of who he is and expressed his gratitude toward those who have supported him.<\/p>\n<p>Caleb\u2019s wife, Fleur, whom he wed in 2012, penned a tribute to her partner on Instagram Saturday, admitting the past few months have been \u201cdisorienting\u201d and \u201churtful\u201d for them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I will always want to love, protect and support Caleb,\u201d she added. \u201cI have cared more about his well being over the years than anything else in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Shomo (seen above with Bichar) explained he was \u201cembarrassed\u201d for suppressing his emotions. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Caleb is married to Fleur Shomo (seen above). <span class=\"credit\">fleurshomo\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI am the only person that is having to deal with the duality of this situation. To support him whilst losing everything has been incredibly hard to figure out,\u201d Fleur continued, explaining she\u2019s simultaneously helped her husband while also losing herself.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Fleur described her 14 years of marriage with Caleb as \u201cwonderful and full of so much fun, adventure &amp; love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI already miss it &amp; my husband more than anything,\u201d she concluded. \u201cOur story was a good one.
