\u201cPopcast,\u201d<\/a>\u00a0the \u201cDevil Wears Prada 2\u2033actress, 43, revealed she was \u201clegally blind\u201d in one eye all throughout her 30s due to an early-onset cataract.<\/p>\n\u201cThis is maybe too much information,\u201d she began. \u201cI was half blind for 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIt impacted my vision so much that I was basically legally blind out of my left eye and I wound up getting surgery,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t realize how bad it had gotten until I could finally see the full spectrum.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve calmed down since then,\u201d Hathaway added. \u201cI didn\u2019t realize it was actually taxing my nervous system.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI appreciate vision because I literally feel like every day, I wake up and I get to see the way that I do, it\u2019s a miracle,\u201d the actress continued. \u201cI actually am like, \u2018Oh, two generations back, that wouldn\u2019t have been an option for someone like me.\u2019 So, I actually do feel very connected to that kind of a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\nHathaway revealed she was \u201clegally blind\u201d in one eye throughout her 30s due to an early-onset cataract. \u201cWe\u2019re at a time when people feel very confident in assuming what they think is fact, and sometimes what they think is accurate and sometimes it\u2019s not,\u201d Hathaway said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe speculation has gotten so loud that you do feel the need to just get your truth out there,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd I\u2019ll probably always wonder, \u2018Should I have posted that or not? Should I have just kept going and done the thing that makes me happy and makes me feel more\u00a0confident on the red carpet?\u2019 But I felt like the conversation was becoming distracting.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAlso, by the way, these are\u00a0huge medical decisions that people\u00a0are presuming,\u201d she added. \u201cI wanted to show that like, no, I didn\u2019t make a huge medical decision. It\u2019s just two braids.\u201d<\/p>\n
She then confessed, \u201cBy the way, the other thing about all this is,\u00a0I might still get a facelift\u00a0someday.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
