I see you. I finally, finally get to say this on TV: Hi, Axl! \u2018Rock That Body\u2019 we did it!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Black Eyed Peas formed in 1992, three years after will.i.am and apl.de.ap started performing together as Atban Klann.<\/p>\n<p>After more than a decade and a slew hits, from \u201cPump It\u201d to \u201cBoom Boom Pow,\u201d rumors swirled that Fergie was exiting the group.<\/p>\n<p>will.i.am confirmed her departure in 2017.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Fergie noted that her and ex Josh Duhamel\u2019s son, Axl (pictured above in August 2016), finally put her music on his playlist. <span class=\"credit\">Jonathan Leibson<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She gave the 12-year-old a shoutout, exclaiming, \u201cHi, Axl!\u201d <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She had previously stepped away to work on solo music \u2014 but returned to the Black Eyed Peas after releasing \u201cThe Dutchess\u201d in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNobody is replacing Fergie. She\u2019s working on her solo project, [\u2018Double Dutchess\u2019] at the moment,\u201d will.i.am clarified at the time \u2014 but J.
