The pop star, 44, was arrested on 5 March for driving &#8220;under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol\u201d and taken to Ventura County Main Jail, north west of Los Angeles. At the time of her arrest, a mysterious substance was found in her car.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Now, the star has been formally charged with a single misdemeanour count of driving under the combined influence of alcohol and at least one drug, the Ventura County District Attorney\u2019s Office said on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">The criminal complaint does not specify what kind of alcohol or drugs, or what amount, Spears is accused of having used.
