href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/05\/celebrity-news\/britney-spears-caught-with-unknown-substance-in-car-before-dui-arrest\/\">found an unknown substance<\/a>\u00a0in her car.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis isn\u2019t about one substance in particular, it has a dual purpose \u2026 this is about Britney putting her mental health first and taking some time for herself to focus on href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/30\/celebrity-news\/britney-spears-charged-with-dui-after-checking-herself-into-rehab\/\">charged with a misdemeanor\u00a0<\/a>for driving while under the influence of alcohol and drugs.<\/p>\n<p>The Grammy winner\u2019s arraignment date has been set for May 4, and if she is found guilty, she can be sentenced to up to 12 months of probation.<\/p>\n<p>She might also be required to take a DUI class on top of paying mandatory fines and fees.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter
