Do with that what you will.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Gayle King revealed that size matters to her when it comes to men. Somebody that can make you laugh.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>She also shared her \u201cfirst date dealbreakers,\u201d including smoking, and divulged she prefers a slightly younger man \u2014 \u201csomebody that can pick me up and carry me across the room. I like a restaurant, movie, then we can talk about the movie. I love that.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere in the interview, King recalled the moment she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/27\/entertainment\/gayle-king-details-the-shocking-moment-she-caught-husband-cheating-on-her-with-a-close-friend\/\">caught her then-husband, William Bumpus<\/a>, cheating with a close friend. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI came home and caught him,\u201d she said of Bumpus, to whom she was married from 1982 to 1993. King said she told the other woman, who was in a towel, \u201c\u2018I thought we were friends!\u2019\u201d and added that it \u201csounded so pitiful.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Elsewhere in the interview, King recalled walking in on her ex-husband cheating with a friend.
