I\u2019d have been driving a couple of Porsches!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old, who played Daenerys Targaryen, did not elaborate further on how \u201cwildly exaggerated\u201d the number was.<\/p>\n<p>She also neglected to speak to <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2017\/tv\/news\/tv-star-salaries-revealed-2017-robert-de-niro-david-letterman-ellen-degeneres-1202534375\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Variety\u2019s 2017 report<\/a> that the numbers were as high as $500,000 each episode.<\/p>\n<p>The series premiered in 2011 and ran for eight seasons before wrapping in 2019.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Reports surfaced in 2014 that Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, and her co-stars made $300,000 per episode.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>By 2017, the reported number had gone up to $500,000.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In addition to Clarke, the show starred Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and more.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the finale, Clarke made it clear she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2018\/05\/15\/emilia-clarke-i-was-always-paid-the-same-as-male-game-of-thrones-stars\/\">was \u201calways paid the same<\/a> amount as\u201d her male co-stars.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was my first job and I was not discriminated against because I was a woman, in my paycheck,\u201d the Emmy nominee noted during a 2018 interview at a Cannes Film Festival screening.<\/p>\n<p>That same year, court documents in Coster-Waldau\u2019s legal battle with his former manager revealed he made $1.07 million per episode \u201cfor at least six episodes\u201d of the final season.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cCan you imagine?\u201d the Emmy nominee asked. \u201cI\u2019d have been driving a couple of Porsches!\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Helen Sloan\/HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>She did not clarify the actual amount.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Sophie Turner, meanwhile, was reported to be making $175,000 \u2014 which she addressed in a 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.harpersbazaar.com\/uk\/fashion\/a26959074\/sophie-turner-may-cover\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sitdown with Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKit got more money than me, but he had a bigger storyline,\u201d the \u201cDark Phoenix\u201d star, 30, said at the time. \u201cAnd for the last series, he had something crazy like 70 night shoots, and I didn\u2019t have that many.
