{"id":4011,"date":"2026-05-29T19:25:44","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T19:25:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/halle-berry-revisits-ex-eric-benets-cheating-scandal\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T19:25:44","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T19:25:44","slug":"halle-berry-revisits-ex-eric-benets-cheating-scandal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/halle-berry-revisits-ex-eric-benets-cheating-scandal\/","title":{"rendered":"Halle Berry revisits ex Eric Ben\u00e8t&#8217;s cheating scandal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F05%2F129104201.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Halle Berry said she still remembers \u201cevery detail\u201d of ex-husband Eric Ben\u00e8t\u2019s cheating scandal that rocked her world over 20 years ago.<\/p>\n<p>As she <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/27\/entertainment\/gayle-king-details-the-shocking-moment-she-caught-husband-cheating-on-her-with-a-close-friend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">applauded Gayle King<\/a> for sharing her story of infidelity on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY5EjFYkbQo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cToday with Jenna and Sheinelle,\u201d<\/a> the Oscar winner, 59, reflected on how \u201ctherapeutic\u201d it was to talk about the experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m proud of her for, you know, saying that and sharing this, that happened, because it has happened to many of us,\u201d Berry said. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Halle Berry said she still remembers \u201cevery detail\u201d of ex-husband Eric Ben\u00e8t\u2019s cheating scandal that rocked her world over 20 years ago, during her Thursday appearance on \u201cToday with Jenna and Sheinelle\u201d (seen above). <span class=\"credit\">NBC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The \u201cMonster\u2019s Ball\u201d actress discussed how \u201ctherapeutic\u201d it was to talk about the infidelity as she applauded Gayle King for talking publicly about her own experience. <span class=\"credit\">NBC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>She continued: \u201cYou remember every detail of the whole situation, and it stays with you forever. So when you can share it somehow, that\u2019s therapeutic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a catharsis, when you can really share it and someone else can say what their experience has been. So I appreciate her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sheinelle Jones then asked Berry if she ever felt she had to \u201chide\u201d from the shame of the scandal that took place before she felt like she could address it. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cYou remember every detail of the whole situation, and it stays with you forever. So when you can share it somehow, that\u2019s therapeutic.\u201d Berry said.  <span class=\"credit\">NBC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The Oscar winner added that she felt she \u201ccouldn\u2019t hide\u201d from the scandal as it was \u201call over the news,\u201d but she didn\u2019t talk about it publicly because \u201cthere were children involved.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">NBC<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI couldn\u2019t hide, it was all over the news. I didn\u2019t talk about it necessarily, very publicly. But I did talk about it. I did not carry the shame. I talked about it with my friends. I talked about it with other women,\u201d Berry answered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were children involved. So, I didn\u2019t go on a public rampage about things. I can\u2019t believe that you are doing this.\u2019 And I even said, \u2018I thought we were friends!\u2019 It sounded so pitiful.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The journalist first\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2016\/07\/05\/gayle-king-slams-cheating-ex-husband\/\">spoke out about the incident in 2016<\/a>.
