Now we have the \u2018HOTTEST\u2019 Country anywhere in the World. I don\u2019t want so-called \u2018Artists\u2019 that get paid far too much money, who aren\u2019t happy. I only want to be surrounded by Happy People, Smart People, Successful People, and People that know how to WIN,\u201d Trump continued. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, by copy of this TRUTH, I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally on Wednesday, Washington, D.C., same time, same location. Only Great Patriots invited \u2014 It will be a Wild and Beautiful Celebration of America!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It remains unclear as to why the president decided on June 3 for the event. <\/p>\n<p>The president\u2019s statement comes after multiple artists including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, Morris Day &amp; The Time, Young MC, and The Commodores each pulled out of the concert series, which was scheduled to run from June 25 to July 10.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Several artist including Bret Michaels (pictured above), Martina McBride, Morris Day &amp; The Time, Young MC, and The Commodores have all dropped out of the concert series, which was expected to run from June 25 to July 10. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for Stagecoach<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Many of the artists who backed out have claimed they were misled by the event when first approached.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In each of their announcements delivering the news of their cancelations, the artists all made claims of being misled as to the nature of the event. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was presented with an opportunity to perform at a nonpartisan event but that turned out to be misleading,\u201d McBride, wrote in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY5s4J5qPRj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an Instagram post<\/a> on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Young MC claimed \u201cthe artists were never told about any political involvement with the event\u201d in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DY3jC6gDZK8\/?hl=en&amp;img_index=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his Instagram statement<\/a>.
