(Pictured: Montgomery.) <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@vasana_vibes<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Sadly, it\u2019s not the first time a \u201cLove Island\u201d contestant has been marooned for using offensive language.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Yulissa Escobar <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/06\/05\/entertainment\/love-island-usa-contestant-yulissa-escobar-exits-show-after-racist-comments-resurface\/\">abruptly departed the show<\/a> one day after its premiere.<\/p>\n<p>The show addressed Escobar\u2019s exit 18 minutes into the second episode.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>A Peacock spokesperson explained that the video had been privately owned and therefore not available during the vetting process. (Pictured: Ariana Madix in \u201cLove Island\u201d promo.) <span class=\"credit\">Peacock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cYulissa has left the villa,\u201d narrator Iain Stirling curtly said.<\/p>\n<p>Escobar\u2019s exit followed furor over her casting as fans quickly uncovered podcast clips where Escobar could be heard using the N-word.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow I\u2019m f\u2013king my [N-word], he\u2019s my [N-word],\u201d she said in a video shared on Reddit.<\/p>\n<p>During another instance in the same podcast, the model said, \u201cAre you that [N-word] that controls what she wears?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Yulissa Escobar (seen above) left the show last year after a video showed her using the N-word. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@yulissaaescobar<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Cierra Ortega (seen above) also departed after she was caught using an anti-Asian slur. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@cierra.ortega<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Escobar later apologized.<\/p>\n<p>Fellow islander Cierra Ortega also <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/07\/07\/entertainment\/love-island-usas-cierra-ortega-makes-sudden-exit-after-past-racial-slurs-resurface\/\">found herself in hot water<\/a> after an offensive racial slur targeting Asians resurfaced online. At the time, narrator Iain Stirling informed viewers that Ortega had left the villa \u201cdue to a personal situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Days later, Ortega <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/07\/10\/entertainment\/cierra-ortega-breaks-silence-on-love-island-usa-exit-in-accountability-video\/\">released an \u201caccountability video,\u201d<\/a> explaining that she had no idea the word she had used \u201cwas a slur.
