The 35-year-old actress said that the Season 1 scene in which Maddie cheats on her boyfriend Nate (<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/26\/entertainment\/euphoria-criminally-wasted-jacob-elordi-nate-with-ridiculous-storyline\/\">played by Jacob Elordi<\/a>) with multiple men \u2014 including a stockbroker and a roller-rink employee \u2014 was unpleasant to film.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not saying I don\u2019t love sex, and I think it can be portrayed beautifully and I know the show is portraying the life of teenage girls,\u201d she clarified. \u201cBut once I did it, I realized, \u2018OK, I don\u2019t love how this feels.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I said something, and everyone was empathetic, and I never did that again,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy in \u201cEuphoria,\u201d said a Season 1 montage of her cheating on her boyfriend, Nate (played by Jacob Elordi) made her uncomfortable to film. <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The scene shows Maddy hooking up with multiple men, including a stockbroker, DJ and a roller-rink employee. <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Demie admitted that she felt she had to be willing to do a lot of nudity and sex scenes to get the part of Maddy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought that if I said no to doing them, then I wouldn\u2019t have the part,\u201d she recalled. \u201cNot because anyone ever said that to me, but because I was so young and I didn\u2019t know.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But Demie said <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/01\/entertainment\/euphoria-creator-sam-levinson-doesnt-rule-out-season-4-with-cryptic-comment\/\">the show\u2019s writer and creator, Sam Levinson<\/a>, listened to concerns and that her time on set was enjoyable despite the long hours.<\/p>\n<p>While she did struggle personally after filming Season 2 of \u201cEuphoria,\u201d she put the blame on herself.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Demie (seen here in October 2022) said she voiced her concerns and never had to do a scene like that again. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for Tiffany &amp; Co.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Demie also shared that despite negative headlines, her time on the \u201cEuphoria\u201d set was enjoyable. <span class=\"credit\">HBO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t realize how method I was, and how seriously I was taking everything,\u201d she explained. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot went down, and things were changing within and around me, and it was a lot of purging,\u201d she added of the tumultuous time in her life.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday \u2014 when<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/01\/entertainment\/euphoria-fans-react-to-zendayas-rue-dying-in-season-3-finale\/\"> the \u201cEuphoria\u201d Season 3 finale aired <\/a>on HBO \u2014 Sydney Sweeney <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/31\/entertainment\/sydney-sweeney-mocks-critics-ditches-top-to-celebrate-euphoria-finale-in-racy-behind-the-scenes-photos\/\">mocked critics of her character Cassie\u2019s racy storyline this season<\/a>.
