My speech is cute. They\u2019re gonna pull up this goddamn speech. I wanna read my little speech. I\u2019m not ad libbing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Taylor also claimed that the show \u201calready messed up\u201d her microphone during her performance earlier in the night. <\/p>\n<p>The teleprompter then finally displayed a message for Taylor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOh, it says Teyana Taylor we have no script for you. Everyone exit stage right,\u201d she told the crowd, as she walked off the stage.<\/p>\n<p>Host Keke Palmer walked out and joked about the mishap, noting that they \u201cmessed up my girl Teyana\u2019s prompter.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Eventually, the teleprompter told Taylor (pictured above with her award) to exit the stage, which she did. <span class=\"credit\">Billboard via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>\u201cOh, it says Teyana Taylor we have no script for you. Everyone exit stage right,\u201d Taylor told the audience (Taylor is seen above performing at the event). <span class=\"credit\">Billboard via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Later in the show, Taylor came back out with Dionne Warwick, who was presenting the award, and got a second chance at giving her speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to the legendary Miss Dionne Warwick for being a part of this moment,\u201d Taylor \u2014 who had changed into a gray sweatsuit \u2014 said while wearing a more casual outfit than before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank you to Billboard for this incredible honor,\u201d she added, as she jokingly smacked her lips and laughed. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Later, Taylor came back out on stage and gave her acceptance speech. <span class=\"credit\">Billboard<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>The \u201cOne Battle After Another\u201d actress (seen above) joked about the technical mishap multiple times in her speech. <span class=\"credit\">Billboard<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Golden Globe winner thanked God and explained that \u201cthere were so many moments I didn\u2019t really understand, even like the one now,\u201d as the actress and the crowd laughed again.<\/p>\n<p>Later in her speech, Taylor again referenced the teleprompter incident when she teared up, thanking her mom, Nikki Taylor, joking that \u201cit was so dope watching you curse them out there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Taylor continued, \u201cBut I will say, I want to thank Billboard for the accountability. I want to thank Billboard for being warm.
