{"id":4536,"date":"2026-06-03T19:11:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T19:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/cara-delevingne-talks-victorias-secret-fashion-show-addiction-on-call-her-daddy\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T19:11:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T19:11:33","slug":"cara-delevingne-talks-victorias-secret-fashion-show-addiction-on-call-her-daddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/cara-delevingne-talks-victorias-secret-fashion-show-addiction-on-call-her-daddy\/","title":{"rendered":"Cara Delevingne talks Victoria&#8217;s Secret Fashion Show, addiction on &#8216;Call Her Daddy&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F06%2F129625673.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Cara Delevingne looked back at her years of battling addiction and hiding her sexuality on \u201cCall Her Daddy\u201d Wednesday. <span class=\"credit\">YouTube\/Call Her Daddy<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Cara Delevingne\u2019s Victoria\u2019s Secret days weren\u2019t all smiles and angel wings.<\/p>\n<p>The British supermodel and musician, 33, opened up about walking the brand\u2019s runway more than a decade ago on Wednesday\u2019s episode of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=z71MDm6lxX0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cCall Her Daddy,\u201d<\/a> telling host Alex Cooper that those runway moments coincided with some of the darkest years of her life.<\/p>\n<p>Delevingne, 33, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/03\/08\/cara-delevingne-addresses-airport-photos-for-first-time\/\">has been candid<\/a> in recent years about her <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2022\/10\/01\/cara-delevingnes-recent-breakdown-echoes-troubled-mothers-past\/\">struggles with addiction<\/a> and mental health, including a very public low point in 2022 that led to her getting sober.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>\u201cI felt like I was an undercover lesbian,\u201d she said of her time backstage at the Victoria\u2019s Secret Fashion Show, which she walked in 2012 and 2013. <span class=\"credit\">Bryan Bedder<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The model said she coped with whiskey and Xanax before hitting the runway. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Delevingne recalled passing out from \u201cgay panic\u201d near fellow model Candice Swanepoel. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>When Cooper pulled up a photo of Delevingne in a candy striper-style outfit from the 2012 Victoria\u2019s Secret show, the model\u2019s reaction was bittersweet. \u201cThat was fun; it felt like dress-up,\u201d she said. \u201cBut then there was something darker about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Delevingne was closeted, battling depression and using alcohol and drugs to cope. \u201cI woke up, probably had a couple shots of whiskey and a Xanax,\u201d she said. \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t get nervous to walk a runway after that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hiding her sexuality in that backstage environment \u2014 surrounded by some of the world\u2019s most beautiful women in various states of undress \u2014 also put her in a constant state of \u201cgay panic,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was in the closet. I was gay. I was also like\u2026 has a lesbian ever done f\u2013king Victoria\u2019s Secret?\u201d she told Cooper. \u201cI was having a great time but also like very confused. I\u2019m a devil.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">YouTube\/Call Her Daddy<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Delevingne, now 33 and nearly four years sober, is preparing to release her debut album. <span class=\"credit\">Xavier Collin\/Image Press Agency \/ BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She recalled one moment when fellow model Candice Swanepoel casually undressed in front of her in a hotel room. \u201cShe took off her clothes \u2014 not in a sexual way, that\u2019s what models do \u2014 and I passed out,\u201d Delevingne said with a laugh. \u201cI fully passed out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite walking for the brand twice, Delevingne said she never felt she fit the mold. \u201cEveryone else [had] very womanly bodies \u2026 and I have no ass,\u201d she said. \u201cAt that point I was like, \u2018I\u2019m not a Victoria\u2019s Secret Angel. I\u2019m a devil.\u2019\u00a0I remember when they asked me to be one. I was like, \u2018I don\u2019t think I belong here.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Delevingne told Cooper she is now nearly four years sober, in a relationship with a woman she went to school with and preparing to release her debut album.
