href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/how-katy-perry-and-justin-trudeau-are-blending-their-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told US Weekly<\/a> on Thursday the lovebirds \u2014 who <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/13\/celebrity-news\/katy-perry-justin-trudeau-dating-timeline\/\">began dating in July 2025<\/a> \u2014 had their respective children meet because they \u201cboth feel it\u2019s important to blend their families thoughtfully and at a comfortable pace.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry shares <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/03\/12\/celebrity-news\/katy-perry-spends-time-with-justin-trudeau-and-daughter-daisy\/\">her daughter<\/a> with ex-fianc\u00e9 Orlando Bloom, while Trudeau shares sons Xavier, 18, and Hadrien, 12, and daughter Ella-Grace, 17, with estranged wife Sophie Gr\u00e9goire Trudeau.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter several months.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the source said the \u201cFirework\u201d singer \u201cwasn\u2019t expecting to jump into another relationship anytime soon\u201d after <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/04\/celebrity-news\/chris-hemsworth-wife-elsa-pataky-and-kids-denied-boarding-for-international-flight\/\">splitting from Bloom, 49, last year.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But Trudeau \u201ccompletely caught [Perry] by surprise,\u201d the insider explained, noting the former Canadian Prime Minister came into Perry\u2019s life \u201cat the right Trudeau\u2019s new $3.1 million Montreal home is \u201cblocks away\u201d from the house he shared with his ex and is \u201clarge enough\u201d for his and Perry\u2019s blended family. <\/p>\n<p>However, Perry still considers California her \u201chome base\u201d and is continuing to be \u201clong-distance\u201d with Trudeau. <\/p>\n<p>The insider further claimed the distance \u201chasn\u2019t been an issue\u201d for Perry and Trudeau, who\u2019ve \u201cfound a rhythm that works and make a point to see each other as often as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure
