chilling confession after the 81-year-old\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/06\/04\/celebrity-news\/high-top-gun-maverick-jumanji-actor-james-handy-dead-at-81-killed-by-girlfriends-son\/\">fatal stabbing<\/a> Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The individual, according to audio <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/top-gun-maverick-actor-james-handy-murder-suspect-called-to-confess-11991709\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">obtained by People<\/a>, told dispatch, \u201cI am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cTop Gun: Maverick\u201d star was subsequently found unconscious in the front yard of his Tarzana, California, home.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Universal\/Everett Collection<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Fox11<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>He was suffering from a stab wound in the chest.<\/p>\n<p>The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics then transported Handy to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>Handy\u2019s girlfriend\u2019s son, Michael Gledhill, has been arrested and charged with one count of murder.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span Angeles Police Department, Gledhill \u201cflagged down nearby responding officers, telling them he was the one they were looking for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement added that \u201cthe suspect resides
