{"id":4919,"date":"2026-06-06T17:35:42","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T17:35:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/rumer-willis-ex-claims-demi-moore-threatened-to-destroy-him-as-battle-over-custody-of-daughter-intensifies\/"},"modified":"2026-06-06T17:35:42","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T17:35:42","slug":"rumer-willis-ex-claims-demi-moore-threatened-to-destroy-him-as-battle-over-custody-of-daughter-intensifies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/login9ja.com\/global\/rumer-willis-ex-claims-demi-moore-threatened-to-destroy-him-as-battle-over-custody-of-daughter-intensifies\/","title":{"rendered":"Rumer Willis&#8217; ex claims Demi Moore threatened to &#8216;destroy&#8217; him as battle over custody of daughter intensifies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F3%2F2026%2F06%2Fcrop-8979199.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Rumer Willis\u2019 ex Derek Thomas now claims Demi Moore threatened to \u201cdestroy\u201d him as his ongoing custody battle over his and Rumer\u2019s daughter, Louetta, takes a turn for the worse. <\/p>\n<p>In a recent court filing, Thomas told a judge that Rumer explicitly told him \u201cdirectly that she did not want her family present for the first 40 days after <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2023\/04\/25\/rumer-willis-gives-birth-to-first-baby-with-derek-richard-thomas\/\">Louetta\u2019s birth in 2023<\/a>,\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/entertainment\/16460640\/demi-moore-threatened-rumer-willis-ex-custody-battle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the US Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNonetheless, on the day after Louetta was born, Ms. Moore and household staff members came into the home and caused a significant disturbance.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn this occasion, Ms. Moore, apparently based on something said by [Rumer], threatened to \u2018Destroy me,\u2019\u201d he alleged. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Rumer Willis\u2019 ex Derek Thomas (pictured right alongside Rumer and her mother, Demi Moore, at Rumer\u2019s baby shower) alleged in court docs that Moore threatened to \u201cdestroy\u201d him. <span class=\"credit\">Michael Simon \/ Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Thomas claimed that Willis told him \u201cdirectly that she did not want her family present for the first 40 days after Louetta\u2019s birth in 2023.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Michael Simon \/ Shutterstock<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>As we previously reported, Thomas hit back at Willis\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/28\/parents\/rumer-willis-accuses-derek-richard-thomas-of-insane-domestic-violence-custody-battle\/\">claims of domestic abuse<\/a> in court earlier this week, telling the court in a filing on June 2 that he never acted \u201caggressively or inappropriately\u201d toward Willis. <\/p>\n<p>He also accused Willis of acting innappropriately with their daughter by using her in sponsored \u201cadult sexual humor\u201d content without his permission.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas alleged that he\u2019s an active father and FaceTimes his daughter every day despite being allegedly prohibited from seeing her by Willis, 37. He also denied allegations that he was on drugs and didn\u2019t pay child support, telling the court he would be more than happy to pay the monthly $2,350.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>But, Moore (pictured here with Willis at the Versace FW23 fashion show) and her staff came \u201cinto the home\u201d the day after Louetta was born and \u201ccaused a disturbance\u201d when she then made threats to \u201cdestroy\u201d Thomas \u201cbased on something said by [Rumer].\u201d <span class=\"credit\">FilmMagic<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Willis (pictured here smiling while holding her daughter) filed court documents accusing her ex of \u201cincessant domestic violence\u201d last month.  <span class=\"credit\">rumerwillis\/instagram<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Additionally, he noted how the \u201cNow and Then\u201d star initially moved with her daughter to Idaho to escape the toxic air quality during the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires.<\/p>\n<p>However, she then allegedly tried to stay in the north-central state permanently. To which he says, \u201cat no time did | agree to move out of state with [Rumer],\u201d and that he never agreed with her to permanently relocate with Louetta after her birth.<\/p>\n<p>Though, Willis allegedly told Thomas \u201con several occasions that she wished to move to Texas or another out-of-state location in order to be free from her mother\u2019s overbearing and hostile conduct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Willis filed legal documents last month accusing her ex of \u201cincessant domestic violence\u201d after he requested child custody and visitation rights in July 2025. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>In Willis\u2019 filing, the actress (seen here posing next to Thomas the ESPRIT LA Pop-Up opening) accused Thomas of engaging \u201cin ongoing coercive control through prolonged circular verbal attacks.\u201d  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for ESPRIT<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Moore, pictured above with Willis at the Vanity Fair \u201cHollywood Calling\u201d event, then added that Thomas was aggressive when Louetta was born and acted with \u201cno consideration to Rumer\u201d or their baby.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images for Vanity Fair<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>She insisted that Thomas had a \u201cpersistent pattern\u201d of \u201cinsane emotional abuse\u201d that he allegedly exhibited in front of Louetta prior to <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2024\/08\/23\/celebrity-news\/rumer-willis-boyfriend-derek-richard-thomas-break-up-1-year-after-baby-louettas-birth\/\">their August 2024 breakup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe engaged in ongoing coercive control through prolonged circular verbal attacks that he is unable or unwilling to stop. [He] engages in this type of attack for over six hours at a time on what became a daily basis,\u201d the court docs read.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was constantly trying to keep the peace and walk on eggshells,\u201d she claimed. \u201cHe wanted to isolate me from my friends and family. He constantly called me a liar with no reason behind it. He told me I was a bad girlfriend all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rumer continued, \u201cHe had paranoid behavior saying that my mother and I were plotting to take Louetta away from him. He got very mad at me when I would not let his mother smoke weed in my house when Louetta was a newborn.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Thomas (seen above smiling next to daughter Louetta) responded to Willis\u2019 allegations of abuse earlier this week, telling the courts that he has never acted \u201caggressively or inappropriately\u201d toward Willis.  <span class=\"credit\">Instagram \/ Rumer Willis<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>He also claims Willis (pictured here walking with Thomas in April 2023) made several moves with their daughter without his consent. <span class=\"credit\">GC Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At the time, Moore corroborated her daughter\u2019s claims, adding that Thomas <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/05\/28\/celebrity-news\/demi-moore-details-rumer-willis-exs-aggressive-behavior-in-bombshell-custody-docs\/\">acted with \u201cno consideration to Rumer<\/a>, the baby, the process, or anyone else for that matter\u201d and became aggressive when Louetta was born. <\/p>\n<p>Thomas initially slammed Willis\u2019 claims of domestic abuse in a statement saying, \u201cI have committed no acts of domestic violence in any form, including any active coercive control.
