been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a bloody overnight attack in Birmingham that left a man with serious injuries to the head and body.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Police were called to Cotterills Lane at around 2am on Sunday morning following reports of people fighting in the street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Upon arrival, a man with severe injuries and significant blood loss was found seeking shelter at a nearby property, with blood splattered along the paths, up the walls and along nearby car panels.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Two vehicles were recovered from the scene, and three suspects were detained on suspicion of attempted murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">A spokesperson for <a target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"\" class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/west-midlands-police\" rel=\"follow\" tabindex=\"0\" target=\"\">West Midlands Police<\/a> said: &#8216;Three people are in custody today after a man was seriously injured in Birmingham overnight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">&#8216;We were called to Cotterills Lane shortly after 2am today (7 June) after reports of people fighting in the street. <!-- -->&#8216;A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his head and body and three people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. <!-- -->&#8216;His injuries are thankfully not thought to be life-threatening and all three people arrested remain in custody while our investigation continues. <!-- -->&#8216;Officers are remaining at the scene throughout today to carry out enquiries and speak to witnesses. <!--
